[50541] "Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine], 4 June 2019": "Bar Harbor - Paula B. Knudsen, 81, died June 3, 2019 in Bar Harbor. She was born May 19, 1938 in Bar Harbor, the daughter of Herman Leroy and Nelda Mildred (Soper) Blaisdell. Paula graduated in 1956 from Gilman High School, Mt. Desert. From 1960-1963 she served in the U.S. Army as a Registered Nurse. Paula met her husband, Walter H. Knudsen Jr. while in service at Fort Bragg. They were married September 2, 1961 and moved to Seal Harbor in 1976 with their children upon Walters retirement. Paula was employed at MDI Hospital as an RN and worked there for many years. She served on the Mt. Desert Nursing Association board of directors and also served as a visiting nurse for them. She was also a member of the MDI Zoning Board, the Seal Harbor Cemetery Association, the American Legion #107, Northeast Harbor and St. Jude Episcopal Church of Northeast Harbor and Seal Harbor. Paula loved cooking and entertaining for big family dinners. She enjoyed knitting and rug hooking and she also loved to spend time at camp on green lake. Her outdoor activities included gardening and feeding the birds. She is survived by her children, Pamela Bell and husband Paul DuPerry of Hudson, Jennifer Tully and husband Dennis of St. Paul, MN and Curtis Knudsen Sr. of Gouldsboro; her brother, Richard Blaisdell of Bar Harbor, grandchildren; Kelsey Schmersal and husband Jeremy, Jordan Bell, Brynn Knudsen and partner Aaron Robidoux and Curtis Knudsen Jr.; great grandchildren; Blake Bell, Sadie Schmersal, Renesmae and Jase Walter Knudsen and Alijah Robidiox. She was predeceased by her husband Walter and a son, Walter H. Knudsen III."

[56903] Lillian's obituary: "Dover-Foxcroft - Lillian G. Mayo, 77, wife of the late Ralph V. Mayo, passed away peacefully December 15, 2021, at her home in Dover-Foxcroft. She was born May 30, 1944, in Dover-Foxcroft, the daughter of Kenneth L. Green and Susan Louise (Blake) Green. Lil grew up in the Dover-Foxcroft area, graduating from Foxcroft Academy in 1962. She was the Head Cook for MSAD 68 for many years as well as Piscataquis County Jail and the Charleston Correctional Facility. Lil's lifelong passion was sewing, making quilts, wedding gowns, prom dresses and so much more. Everyone in the community knew if they needed something made, altered, or repaired, Lil was the one to see. Lil had two very special people in her life, her grandson, Robert Mayo, whom she raised at her home and her nephew, Kenneth Green, who was her best friend. She was predeceased by her parents and husband, siblings, Gerald 'Herb' Green, Alice Dow, and Mary Tumosa. She is survived by three daughters, Virginia Preble and husband, David, of Charleston, Veronica Brown of Rumford, and Victoria Bemis and husband, Alton, of Grafton, Massachusetts. She leaves eight grandchildren, Kristopher S. Preble, Rebecca L. Preble, Robert D. Mayo, Mandy M. Householder, Julia L. Walton, Heather M. Bemis, Bradley M. Bemis and Aaron W. Bemis; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside memorial service will be held next summer in Atkinson. "

Carla worked there for 5 years until her first battle with breast cancer. She retired due to her health and enjoyed being a homemaker and stay at home mom. Carla enjoyed helping in her children's school functions and many activities. She was very busy at the New Hope Baptist Church with her many titles, but the nursery was her fondest place. God blessed her with a loving and giving heart. She was always willing to help anyone in need. In addition to her mother of Hartland, she is survived by her husband Joseph Tibbetts; 2 sons, Parker and Cole, all of Dexter; her brother and sister in law, Paul and Sherry Vigue, and a sister Elaine Vigue, all of Hartland; a brother and sister in law Jeff and Camille Vigue of Washington State; many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
