As received via email 25 Jun 1999: "Al- Your website is wonderful-something for me to aspire to! I DO think we have a match, but require some "puzzle piece" documentation to prove fully. Heres what I do have: (my) Mary Ann IRWIN was born Oct 12, 1829 in Westmeath, Ireland, to Charles Frederick IRWIN and Letitia HENDERSON.... married Charles WATSON in abt 1850 (I have viewed parish records for Mary Ann, marriage cant be "proven" as Phillipstown church where marriage probably took place burned...I do have census for Calif. 1880-1910 for this couple, and death certs for 4 of their children- all match up)....Mary Ann's brother, Charles Frederick IRWIN (b.1820, Westmeath d.1895, Ontario) SHOULD be your Letitias father (he had a daughter Letitia b. 1859 or 60)..Your Letitia married a Boucher, and I've just written to a Sandra Boucher, in Bermuda, this couples granddaughter. She had a very nice ancestral file on line with LDS, and I've asked for her sources before I re-do her footwork. When all pieces fit PERFECTLY I'll let you know! BTW- the name LETITIA carries through all family lines I've found,
right through my grandmother, mother, and daughter! So does "Pamelia/Permelia" which at first I thought was a mis-spelling!... - Kirsten (crosson5@earthlink.net)

[43265] Find A Grave Memorial 98503248 offers: " Chilton Times, June 11, 1904 - Notice has reached us of the death of John Sweet which occurred at the home of his daughter, Mrs. A. A. Nugent, at Kaukauna, on Tuesday May 7, at the age of 87 years. His health had been failing for some months past but an attack of pneumonia with which he was confined to his bed for six days, took him suddenly on Tuesday. His remains were brought to this city on Thursday and were tenderly laid away in the family lot in the Breed cemetery. Mr. Sweet was one of the pioneer settlers of Chilton town, located on a farm there some fifty years ago when the country was nothing but a wilderness and remaining there until last fall when he went to Kaukauna to make his home with his daughter. He was born in Augusta, Oneida county, N. Y., June 15, 1817 and was married in the same state to Belinda Newell in November 1844. He was a man of marked refinement and of more education that is possessed by the average hard working pioneer farmer. In the early days his home was one of free hearted hospitality, known far and wide and the purity of his life and the unselfishness of all his acts brought him friends without number. One son, Captain Edgar N. Sweet, of Meeker, Oklahoma and two daughters, Mrs. R. W. Bohm of Waupaca, and Mrs. A. A. Nugent of Kaukauna survive him."
