[12512] Find A Grave Memorial 59342160 offers: "BELLVILLE: DAN R. "BOONE" HEICHEL, 56, of Ross Road, Bellville, died Wednesday afternoon August 31, 2005 in MedCentral Mansfield Hospital following a short illness. He was born November 12, 1948 in Mansfield to Robert Glenn and Dorothy Mae (Farst) Heichel, was graduated from Clear Fork High School in 1966, and remained a lifelong Bellville area resident. Dan served with the U.S. Air Force, and retired with 20 years of service with the Ohio Air National Guard's 179th Air Wing. For 28 years, he worked in the General Motors plant in Ontario, most recently in the truck repair department. Dan was a life member and Past Commander of Irvin Hiskey Post #535 American Legion in Bellville, and Past Commander of Richland County American Legion Council. He also served as Past Commander of the Sons of American Legion, as well as Past District Commander of Sons of American Legion, and was a life member of William O. Naylor Post #43 AMVETS, Bellville. Dan's strong devotion to the Legion extended to the community ~ faithfully marching in holiday parades ~ exhibiting his stalwart loyalty and patriotism. He always kept busy, whether it was working around the house, mushroom hunting or gardening; or on a bowling or horseshoe pitching event. His sense of humor could always make you laugh, and his adventurous spirit led him to his favorite casino, The Mountaineer. All these activities may have captured Dan's attention, but his love for his family captured his heart. He is survived by his wife Kathy (Fry) Heichel, whom he married March 17, 1995; a son Troy Heichel of Bellville; a daughter Melanie Heichel of Bellville, a daughter and son-in-law Michelle and Shawn Davis of Fredericktown, a daughter Deborah Miller of Bellville; four grandchildren Madison Gatena, Briana Davis, Joshua Davis and Samantha Shafer; two brothers and sisters-in-law Donald and Judy Heichel of Cheyenne, Wyoming, and David and Pat Heichel of Lexington; four nephews Rob Heichel, Jim Heichel, Todd Heichel and Joe Heichel; and a large extended family."

[26061] This line is from One World Tree at Ancestry.com in 2007 and is not verified. http://www.legendoflewis.com/Wales.htm offers: "Caradog 'large arm' seems to have begun as ruler in Ewyas about the year 500 and expanded his realm to include Fferlix, the Welsh lands between the Wye and Severn Rivers or roughly what is now called Radnorshire. He also is credited with rule in a large part of neighboring Brycheiniog although male descendants of Brychan its founder still lived; how that occurred is unknown. The claim that Caradog married a daughter of Brychan is no more than one historian's attempt to answer that question; neither the marriage nor the daughter occur in the oldest Brychan manuscripts. About five and one half centuries after Caradog Freich Fras, the old pedigrees identify Bleddyn ap Maenyrch, born c. 1045, as his direct male descendant and king of Brycheiniog (Brecknock) in 1093 when the Normans invaded."
[40763] The unverified Bramhall Lowlor Tree in Ancestry.com in 2016 offers: "John May was born in 1575. He married Cordelia Lady Bowes in 1587 in Yorkshire. . . . He died on December 19, 1617, in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, at the age of 42. . . . Cordelia Lady Bowes was born in April 1575. She married John May in 1587 in Yorkshire. . . . . She died in 1627 in Norfolk, at the age of 52." "May Name Meaning - English, French, Danish, Dutch, and German: from a short form of the personal name Matthias (see Matthew) or any of its many cognates, for example Norman French Maheu. English, French, Dutch, and German: from a nickname or personal name taken from the month of May (Middle English, Old French mai, Middle High German meie, from Latin Maius (mensis), from Maia, a minor Roman goddess of fertility). This name was sometimes bestowed on someone born or baptized in the month of May; it was also used to refer to someone of a sunny disposition, or who had some anecdotal connection with the month of May, such as owing a feudal obligation then. English: nickname from Middle English may 'young man or woman'. Irish (Connacht and Midlands): when not of English origin (see 1-3 above), this is an Anglicized form of Gaelic Ó Miadhaigh 'descendant of Miadhach', a personal name or byname meaning 'honorable', 'proud'" - Source: Dictionary of American Family Names ©2013, Oxford University Press
