She was born on January 4, 1929, in Dyer Brook, the daughter of the late John and Edna Mae Lane. Marion graduated from Island Falls High School in 1947. She raised her family in Dyer Brook. She graduated from nursing school and work at Houlton Hospitals until her retirement in. She moved to Island Falls after her marriage to Harold Hoar Jr. in 1971. After her retirement. After her retirement, she volunteered for Hospice and the Southern Aroostook School library. Marion attended the Whittier Congregational church regularly. Her hobbies included golfing, bowling, quilting, knitting, and crocheting. She is survived by her children, Victor L. Drew and his wife, Faye (McLellan), Rebecca J. (Drew) Marquis, and Sharman L. (Hoar) Drew-Ball and her husband, John; daughters-in-law, Camilla (Drew) Botting and her husband, John, and Patricia (Dubois) Drew; and grandchildren Josiah Drew and wife, Heidi, Benjamin Drew, James Drew and his wife, Sara, Anthony Drew, April Trocki and husband, Andrew, Nicole Lyons and husband, John, Kathrine Noyes and her husband, Toby, John Drew, and Chase Marquis. She is also survived by twenty great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, Harold H. Hoar Jr.; sons, Frank A. Drew, Rodney J. Drew, and Harold K. Hoar; and son-in-law, Richard M. Marquis Jr. She was also predeceased by her parents; and ten siblings."

She graduated with a Bachelor's Degree from Shippensburg State Teacher's College. She was a life long member of Tressler Free Lutheran Church, of Loysville and was a member of its Ladies Aide; 50 year member of the Perry County Chapter 459 Order of the Eastern Star, New Bloomfield; Pennsylvania and Perry County Retired Teachers Assiciation and PSEA and NEA. Surviving are her loving husband of 62 years, John E. Davis; two daughters, Jayne Peters and husband Barry Peters, Shermans Dale, Susan Boldosser, Carlisle; three grandchildren; David Boldosser of Carlisle, Michael Peters and wife, Elizabeth, Pittsburgh; Jennifer Lamason and husband, Justin, Mechanicsburg; two sisters, Lenore Ritter, Camp Hill; Sara Miller, Harrisburg; a brother, John Kline of Donnley's Mills; Three step sisters; Julia Manning and Sarah Phillips, both of Mechanicsburg and Irene Smith, New Bloomfield. [9233] "The Decatur Daily Review [Decatur, Illinois], 14 July 1938," p. 16: "Mrs. Sarah V. Weaver, 83, of 350 East Center street , died at 5:45 a. m. today in her home. She had been in failing health for several months, and death was due to complications. Born in Mechanicsburg. Pa., Feb. 21, 1855, she moved with her parents. Henry and Elizabeth Sheibly, to Mendota in 1869. and to Hickory Point township, near Forsyth, in 1870. She was married there to Charles Weaver Nov. 7. 1872. Mr. and Mrs. Weaver moved into Decatur 31 years ago. Mr. Weaver, a prominent farmer, died here March 25, 1926. Mrs. Weaver was a member of the First Church of God. She leaves the following children: Roy Weaver, rural route 1; Mrs. Pearl Hockaday, rural route 2; and Clifford Weaver, Decatur, an employe of the Citizens National bank. A son, Arthur, died in 1931. There is one sister, Mrs. Minnie Bassler, Decatur. Mrs. Weaver also leaves nieces, Mrs. Frank Wallace and Mrs. Alma Westfall, both of Decatur, also a nephew, Otis Bassler, Columbus, Ohio. There are 16 granacnildren and 20 great grandchildren."
