It brought great joy to Durwin to work on and attend mud races to cheer on the Redneck Vette. He is widowed by his wife, Linda Goode. He is survived by his son, Durwin Goode Jr. of Bangor; daughter, Amie Goode and her husband, Dan Gray, of Hampden; and four grandchildren, Jacob Gray, Elliot Heistand, Shirley Goode and Joey Goode. He was predeceased by his parents, Lois and Orren Goode of Hampden; sister-in-law, Ruby Matthews; and sister, Marcia Viering, wife of Jerry Viering. Durwin has two brothers, Roger Goode, husband of Nancy Goode of Hampden and Loren Goode, husband of Regina Goode of Patten; sister, Gloria (Goode) Jordan, wife of Raymond Jordan of Hampden; and brother-in-law, Richard Jordan, husband of Liz Jordan of Hampden; many nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces, great-nephews and special friends."

Mrs. Gray was born in Blue Hill, November 11, 1893, the daughter, of Levi and Elva (Grindle) Maddocks. She had lived in Waldoboro for 22 years. She graduated from Castine Normal School. A retired junior high school teacher, she attended summer sessions at Bates College for several years. Mrs. Gray belonged to the Blue Hill Baptist Church, the Ladies' Missionary Society of the Waldoboro Baptist Church. She was a member of Good Luck Rebecca Lodge, the Ladies' Auxiliary of the American Legion and the Waldoboro Woman's Club. Surviving are her husband of Waldoboro; a sister, Mrs. John F. Wood of Blue Hill; a brother, Frank E. of Greensburg, Pa., and a niece."
