She was the widow of Grover Maurer and was a member ot the Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Lucas. She was also a member ot the Big Brown Women's Club and the Pleasant Valley Community Club. Survivors include two sons, Carl of Cuyahoga Falls and Ralph of San Diego, Calif., two daughters. Barbara Fairbanks of Lucas and Blanche Riggins of Dania, Fla., seven grandchildren, and six great grandchildren."

A native of Iowa, Mr. Heichel moved to California with his wife. He operated a Texaco dealership for more than 30 years in North Hollywood. After retirement, the Heichels moved to Santa Cruz. They became interested in antiques, and owned After Effects in Soquel for 12 years. Mr. Heichel also enjoyed traveling, fishing, camping and collecting antique pieces for their business.
