[2777] Akron Beacon Journal (OH) - Saturday, 7 October 1989: Dayton H. Briner, 85, went home to be with the Lord Oct. 5 after a brief illness. He was born in Springfield Twp., and lived in Brimfield most of his life. Mr. Briner was a self-employed farmer his entire life, a member of the Maranatha Baptist Church, and the Ohio Wagon Train Association. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Zelda; son and daughter-in-law Ralph and Jane of Uniontown; daughters and sons-in-law, Loretta and Harold Sandusky of Cuyahoga Falls, Twyla and John Roman of Springfield Twp.; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brothers, Harold of Mogadore, and Paul of Brimfield. . . . Burial Greenlawn Cemetery, Uniontown.

Ezekiel Willey was the son of Frances and Thomas Willey of Dover, NH, and the husband of Mary Rowe. His occupations from military records were husbandsman and carpenter. The last known census record of Ezekiel was the 1790 US Census of Northfield, Rockingham Co., NH, p. 206. I gave the death date as 1795 as an average between 1790 and 1800 and assumed he stayed with his two older sons in Northfield, NH, until he died. Known children: Ezekiel II (husband of Patty Glover), Isaiah Willey (husband of Sarah Daniels), Mary "Molly" (wife of Daniel Buzzell), Johannah (probably the wife of John Glover of Canterbury, NH), and John (husband of Elizabeth Bickford)."
