He was summoned to parliament from January 22, 1336, to August 18, 1337. He married Elizabeth Montacute, daughter of William de Montacute, Earl of Salisbury; but d.s.p., in 1338, the barony of Badlesemere fell into abeyance between his sisters and co-heiresses, and it so continues among their descendants and representatives. The Barony of Badlesmere was assumed, without any legal right by the deceased lord's eldest sister, Mauud Countess of Oxford, and the earl her husband, and was retained in that family until the demise of John de Vere, 14th earl, without male issue, in the reign of King Henry VIII., when it was certified, April 5, 1626, to have fallen into abeyance between that nobleman's four sisters." [326] Isaac was a sea captain and resided on High Street, Gloucester, Mass. For his siblings and children, see "A Genealogical Dictionary of the First Settlers of New England," by James Savage. Issac m. (2) 16 Dec 1702 in Gloucester, MA to Mary Prince (b. 19 July 1658 to Thomas Prince and Margaret Skillings; Mary d. 3 March 1723 in Gloucester). Isaac was apprenticed to Henry Harwood of Salem at the age of seven and stayed with him for 14 years. We do not know what trade but Isaac was a cordwainer or shoemaker and lived on what is now High Street in Gloucester. He gave his son Joshua an acre of land in 1709 which "was probably a house-lot, for Joshua was married that year." Isaac died in 1715 and when his widow, Mary, died in 1772/3, administration of his estate went to Joshua. Apparently, Eleazer had "declined it in writing." The two older sons having already died. Isaac, Jr drowned in Jan 1689/90 and on Jan. 2, 1709/10 his estate was granted to Ezekiel Collins for the "benefit of his brothers and sisters, Eleazer and Joshua Elwell, Joanna Tucker, Abigail Stover and Bethia Rowe, each of whom received 14s 2d. (from Essex probate records, per Davis) Nothing on why it took 20 years to administer his estate. All of Isaac, Sr.'s estate was settled on "Joshua, he to pay his brother and sisters in cash. Eleazer received a little over 12 pounds, Abigail Stover, Joanna Tucker, Bethia Urin and Jemima Elwell a little over 6 pounds each. Also see the LDS Church's unverified Ancestral File 9CZW-85. Cf. She married Sir John Churchill, 1st Duke of Marlborough, son of Sir Winston Churchill and Elizabeth Drak, on 1 October 1678.5 She died on 18 October 1744 at age 84 at Marlborough House, London, England, leaving a fortune of £3,000,000. She was buried at Chapel, Blenheim Palace, Woodstock, Oxfordshire, England. Her will (dated 11 to 15 Aug 1744) was probated in 1744, bequeathing to her first woman, Mrs. Grace Ridley, two portraits of the Duke and one of herself, to the Duchess of Leeds a watercolour portrait of the Duke, and to the Duchess of Montagu a snuff box with two portraits of the Duke and another covered with a large diamond. She expressed in her will that if her son John or his son were to accept any office or employment under the Crown (other than the Rangerships of Windsor Great and Little Parks), either of them so doing would forfeit all interest in her estate as if he were actually dead. Her estates included the manor of Wimbledon and the mansion at Wimbledon Park which she had recently built."
