Christopher and his brother William were in Washington Co., PA by the 1790 census, and Christopher bought 75 acres of land on the waters of Pigeon Creek in Washington Co. for 200 pounds on 25 Mar 1795. http://homepage.mac.com/feja66/tree/ps02/ps02_376.html adds, quoting Dale S. Landon: "In land record book 2G page 82 dated 9 Nov 1821 15 acres of Christopher Clouse Sr.'s land was sold for 300 dollars by his heirs: John Clouse & Christina his wife of Wayne County, Ohio; Christopher Clouse & Mary his wife; William Clouse & Lydia his wife; Mathias Myers & Catharine his wife; John Newkirk & Christiana his wife; John Wilson attorney for Jacob Clouse & Mary his wife and James Craven all of Washington County, Pennsylvania. John Clouse and Christiana his wife of Wayne County in the State of Ohio came 26 May 1823 to sign for their share. By 1814 John Newkirk and his wife, Christiana also went to Wayne County, Ohio. So John and Christiana Clouse of Wayne County, Ohio had a son Jacob who was in Coshocton County, Ohio and later went to around Marshall, Illinois. Jacob Jr. (Jake) was born there and then went to Fredericktown, Missouri where he died."

"The Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine]," 10 November 1962, p. 22: "Penobscot - Dwight Wilford Leach, 53, died suddenly at his home here Friday. A medical examiner ruled that death was caused by a self-inflicted gunshot wound, He was born at Penobscot, November 8, 1909, son of Harris and Evelyn (Wardwell) Leach. He was a member of the Rising Star Lodge of Masons Penobscot and the Penobscot Chapter 0. E. S. He is survived by his widow, Erma;: one son, Robert Leach; five daughters, Mrs. Rebecca Orcutt, Mrs. Rose Grindell, Mrs. Esther Austin, Mrs. Margaret Austin and Miss Roberta Leach, all of Penobscot; 10 grandchildren, three cousins and one niece."
