[52263] "The Perry County Democrat, 13 January 1937": "Mrs. Frances Shuman, aged 29 years 9 months and 22 days, wife of Harry Shuman, died suddenly of a heart attack about 11:20 p.m. Wednesday of last week at her home in Sheaffer's Valley. The children having the whooping cough, she had risen to attend to several of them who were seized with coughing spells and had lain down again when her mother, sleeping in the same room, heard her breathing with a rattling sound and hastened to her bedside, calling her to answer, but she had expired almost instantly. Her sudden death is a terrible shock to the family and friends, she having been in excellent health before. Surviving her are her husband, the following children, Anna Mae, 6; Harry Earl, 4; Gladys Irene, 2 and Neil Franklin, born November 3, 1936, and her mother, Mrs. Annie Rice Morrow. Her father, George Morrow, died last winter; also surviving are a brother and two sisters, Earl Morrow, Scheaffer's Valley; Erma, Mrs. Harry Stum, Loysville and Irene, Mrs. Roscoe Morrison, of Kennedy's Valley."
[37052] Ancestry.com offers: "Parker Name Meaning - English: occupational name for a gamekeeper employed in a medieval park, from an agent derivative of Middle English parc 'park' (see Park 1). This surname is also found in Ireland."
