The Colberts are identified as a family unit in the 1840, 1850 and 1860 Census of Seneca Co. Ohio and arrived in Williams Co. Ohio about 1861, where they lived in rural Superior Twp., southwest of the village of Montpelier (near the hamlet of West Buffalo).
