[59247] "The Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine]," 19 April 2025 : "Brownville, Maine - Brent A. Pierce, 72, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by loved ones, on March 10, 2025. Born on January 11, 1953, he was raised in Hudson, Maine, but called Brownville home since 2001. Brent was a proud ironworker, known as a master of his trade, and brought precision and pride to everything he did. After retirement, he dedicated his time to the outdoors, pursuing his passion for traditional archery. He became a skilled archer and found great joy in bow shoots, taking particular pride in the archery course he designed and built at his camp. His heart truly lived at his camp, where he shared his days with his best friend, Hunter, the chocolate lab. Brent was a true perfectionist - a man of deep knowledge, and insatiable curiosity. He was a man whose boyish wonder never left him. He was a voracious reader and always ready to share his wisdom or lend a hand. Above all, Brent was a man of spirit and heart, who lived with deep gratitude for life's simplest blessings. He had an abiding love and appreciation for his family and friends, Dave Black and Carl Reeves, to name a few. He leaves behind a legacy of integrity, craftsmanship, and joy in life's quiet moments. He was predeceased by his father, Clyde Pierce; mother, Hilda Megquier; and sister, Christine Slowik. He is survived by his son, Chad Pierce; his daughter, Salina Pierce; son-in-law, Jeffrey Durkee; stepfather, Merrill Megquier; brother-in-law, Steve Slowik; along with family members of the Cahill family."
