Took over the regency for her Wilhelm II, who was unable to govern because of syphilis, but after his death she was removed, as regent by the Estates in spite of his will, which named her guardian and regent. The Estates named their own regents, on the pretext that she was below the age of 25, but the real reason was the fight for power among the different groups in the society. She continued her fight to become regent for Philipp (1504-25). She spoke her case before the Estates; in 1510 she claimed her right to a seat and vote at the Diet of the Realm as the rightful guardian. The emperor sympathised with her, but did not back her, but she also presented her case here. Later that year she withdrew to her dowry, but because of internal disputes in the regency college, she managed to be named regent. She called and chaired a Local Diet (Landtag) and an agreement was made. She named her own regency government and promised to report to the Estates once a year, but reigned independently. In 1518 she had emperor Maximilian I declare her 13 year old son of age, but the nobility continued the fight for power until it was finally defeated in 1523. She was daughter of Magnus II von Mecklenburg-Schwerin and Sophie von Pommern, also mother of a daughter, and lived (1485-1525)."

He was a loving husband and father and doting Grampie and 'PA' to his large family. Sonny served 22 years in US Army as a Ranger in the 503rd Infantry Division & master jumper in the 11th Airborne Division, and rose to the rank of Sergeant Major. His service included 2 tours of active duty in Vietnam and a year in Iran. He also served in Panama during the Cuban Missile crisis. Among his many awards for distinction are multiple Bronze stars with valor, the Air Medal, and the Army Commendation medal for meritorious service. In 1971, Sonny retired from the military and he and Marilyn moved back to Maine to care for her father, Clarence Drisko, and to run the family Tabbutt blueberry rake business. He and Marilyn settled in Columbia where he served as an SAD 37 School Board director for 16 years. He was a past member of the Board of Directors for the Milbridge Medical center and Downeast Community Hospital. He served on the board for the Pleasant River Ambulance Service and as Tax Assessor for Columbia and was an active blueberry grower for Pleasant River Canning Company. Sonny was an avid outdoorsman and loved to be out hunting or fishing whenever possible. He was a lifelong reader until his eyesight was affected in later years. To say he was a staunch Republican would be an understatement. He was active in the Maine Republican Party for many years. Sonny was predeceased by his wife of 54 years, Marilyn (Diz); his mother, Erma and father Verrill; brothers David, Dwight and sister Joyce. Sonny is survived by four siblings: sisters Julia Worcester of Columbia Falls Maine and Cassie Hardwick and husband Jim of Jackson, Mich., brother Everett Worcester and wife Lee in Ornville, and sister-in-law Marilyn Worcester in Winterport; seven children, Deyanne Worcester of Augusta, Cathy Marshall and husband Edward of Lakeland, Fla. and children Edward II, Benjamin and Meghan, Sandra Potter of Dover, N.H. and son Andrew Kymm Lange and husband Dr. Stephen Lange of Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla. and children Whitney, Alexandra and Kelsey, Pam Hull and husband David of Alpharetta, Ga. and children Sarah, Katie and Jonathan, Gayle Dunning and husband John of Orono and children Carrie and Heather, Craig Worcester and wife Lisa of Bangor and children Ryan, Cory, Curtis. He also has 13 great grandchildren to continue his legacy.He was a true modern hero and will be greatly missed by all."
