[28908] Daniel Buffington purchased a sixty-acre farm during the 1860s and built a new dwelling on the land. He also purchased a saw and grist mill. In 1882 he bought more acreage of almost 200 acres. - "Comprehensive History of Town of Gratz Pennsylvania," 1997, p. 52. "The Standard [Lykens, PA], 14 August 1903," p. 1: "Daniel Buffington of Gratz, died at his home Tuesday after an illness of several months with a complication of diseases, aged 67 years. His entire life was spent in Lykens township, and was one of its most highly respected citizens. He is survived by a wife and several children and among the children is Harry F. Bufflngton, one of the clerks in the County Commissioner's office. The funeral took place at 10 a. m. yesterday, and was largely attended. Rev. Kruder was the officiating clergymen, and delivered a touching sermon in the Lutheran and Reformed church, after which interment was made in the adjoining cemetery."
[41396] Angelina is daughter of Henry Krieger (1784-1854) & Sophia Protzman (1792-1834).

[28550] http://www.guide2womenleaders.com offers: "The daughter of Queen Isabella of Jerusalem and her second husband Henri de Champagne, she married Hugues of Cyprus in 1208. He took over the reigns in Cyprus in 1210/11 from his sister Burgundia. After his sudden death at Tripoli in 1218, Alice acted as regent for her 8-month-old son Henri in Cyprus. In 1223 she married Bohemond V of Antiochia. In Jerusalem, Friedrich II, Holy Roman Emperor was recognized as suzerain but not regent of Cyprus in 1228, because of his marriage to Queen Yolanda. When she died, Alice travelled to Acre to put forward her claim to Crown of Jerusalem - without success. After she and Bohemond divorced because they were too closely related (third cousins), she married Ralph, Count of Soissons. As she was the great-aunt of King Conrad of Germany - who had failed to come East to accept throne - Alice was entrusted with regency of Jerusalem in 1243. After her death the regency passed to her son and heir, Henri, King of Cyprus." Cf. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alice_of_Champagne.

[59825] "The Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine]," 9 November 2023: "Orono, Maine - Carl Bruce Farnsworth, 'Pat Junior' passed away November 6, 2023, at his home on Pushaw Lake after battling a series of strokes. He was born February 8, 1947. 'Bruce' leaves everyone with many fond memories at the restaurant, Pat's Pizza, in Orono. Over the years he built the name 'Pat's Pizza' into a household name all over the state of Maine and beyond. He would travel with his wife, Carolyn, throughout the country. During vacations in the Caribbean, someone would inevitably yell when they saw him 'hey Brucie Farnsworth is that you?' Bruce also built a great reputation around the world of car enthusiast. His passion for Ford Shelby Mustangs carried him far. His first car he restored was a 1931 model A at the age of fourteen years old. Also, at the age of fourteen, Bruce learned to play the drums and continued to play for 62 years with several different local bands. While Bruce and Carolyn were in Florida years ago, Bruce took up golf. After six months of being left home, Carolyn picked up the sport as well. Up until the golfing season ended there was quite a bit of competition between the two of them. Surviving in addition to his wife, Carolyn (Goodspeed) Farnsworth, are his daughter, Melissa Harper and her husband, James, his son, C.D. Farnsworth and his wife, Bobbie Joe; his three grandchildren, Corey, Taylor, and Cody; his sister, Ann Rosebush and her husband, Lewis. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and a very special friend of 42 years, John Kyle. In addition to his parents, Bruce was predeceased by his brother, George; and his sister, Pamela."
[53248] The unverified file L7G7-YK8 in 2023 in familysarch.org states Mary is daughter of Benjamin Gooch IV (1706-1783) & Deborah Murch (b. in 1727; m. 17 June 1747 in Biddeford, York Co., ME) and lists these children with Elias: Rebecca Foster (1794-1797), Sarah Foster (1796-1843), Worden Foster (1799-1860), Mary Foster (1801-1810), Jane Foster (1802-1879), Ezra Foster (1805-1894) & Lewis Foster (1807-1885).
