[61968] Sandra's obituary: "Sandra Marie (Bailey) Krupke, 83, of Bangor, passed away peacefully April 19, 2026, surrounded by her family. She was born January 11, 1943, in Bradford, Maine, the daughter of Leslie Edward Bailey, Jr. and Ferne Elizabeth (Snow) Bailey. Sandra grew up in Bradford, Maine, and graduated from Higgins Classical Institute in Charleston, Maine. She met Irvin, of Paynesville, Minnesota, after he was stationed at Dow Air Force Base in Bangor, and they fell in love. They were married on March 30, 1963, in Bangor, Maine. After their marriage Sandra and Irvin settled in Bangor where they raised their three daughters, Debbie, Lori, and Rebecca. Sandra was a talented musician, quilter, and cook. She played the organ and accordion at local churches and wrote her own gospel music. She crafted over 200 quilts, cherished by both family and friends. She loved feeding both family and company. She will be remembered as a truly kind soul whose life reflected compassion, patience, and perseverance. Sandra lived for her family. They were her world. Her life was a model of love. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Irvin Krupke, of Bangor; one brother, Bruce A. Bailey, of Bradford, Maine; one sister, Melanie L. Bailey, of Winter Haven, Florida; three daughters, Debra Marie Krupke, of Lamoine, Maine, Loretta Lynn Krupke, of Lamoine, Maine, and Rebecca Rae Krupke, of Bangor, Maine; and many nephews, nieces, and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents Leslie Edward Bailey, Jr. and Ferne Elizabeth (Snow) Bailey and one brother, William Edward Bailey."
[6942] Hugh was Count of Bourges, Auxerre & Nevers according to http://www.gbso.net/actor/data/d0061/g0000019.html which also offers his ancestry but does not list Richilde among his children. Cf. http://genealogy.euweb.cz/carolin/carolin1.html and http://hometown.aol.com/dwidad/caroling.html. A short distance from the geographical centre of France, Prefecture of the Cher Département and capital of the province of Berry, in the 21st century Bourges is the third largest city in the Centre Region.

[54890] "The Ellsworth American [Ellsworth, Maine]," 9 October 2023: "Swans Island - Dusty Don Staples passed away peacefully Sept. 9, 2023, surrounded by the love of his family. He was 67 years old, born on Aug. 1, 1956, in Bar Harbor. Dusty was raised on Swan's Island. After graduating from MDI High School, he joined the United States Coast Guard and served four years; three of which stationed at Governor's Island, N.Y. and one in Portsmouth, N.H. While in the Coast Guard, he received the Marksman Ribbon for Pistols, Sharpshooter Ribbon for Rifles, the Good Conduct Medal and several other commendations. Upon discharge from the service, he maintained an ocean career. On Swan's Island he was primarily both a lobsterman and arborist - or 'woodcutter' as he preferred. Maintaining successful business ventures by means of integrity and dedicated work ethic his entire life, Dusty was a man of both the land and sea and had a unique intuition for all his work. He was a methodical man and had a distinct, rational way of doing things. He was always recognized for his organized manner; notably, his immaculately clean lobster boats, meticulously built and stacked lobster traps and neatly stacked wood piles - the list goes on. He took pride in caring for and maintaining his assets. A natural 'MacGyver-like' mind where he was able to fix anything, or at least get it working for the needed time. He enjoyed finding old items and restoring them to near new condition. Work was his vacation. Some of the best times shared with him were within his work. He always had projects going; often lending a hand in projects of friends or relatives. He regularly put his own needs aside to help others, aiding vessels in distress or lost in the fog while he was out lobstering or volunteering while his vessel was moored, leaving safe harbor to assist. Dusty was well known for his charismatic ways and dry wit; his one line 'zingers,' as he called them, will remain in his close-knit social circle forever. He didn't need attention and valued his privacy - although never withdrew his listening ear. He showed his love for people rather than telling. He has been described as a truly genuine man and well-respected member of the community where he was admired by many. He made a positive impression on, and made friends with, people wherever he went. He will be missed by many families and many friends.Often his son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren would visit for long weekends, and that was the only time that work didnt come first. He loved spending time with them and his wife, and they were his greatest joys. He got the biggest kick out of the grandkids and loved them each dearly. While recovering from cancer treatments and surgery, and restricted to "light" duty, Dusty constructed wind chimes for his son and family-they will be listening in the wind for his reminders. The family would like to thank the visitors, people who sent cards, phone calls, messages, stories, gifts and thoughts of Dusty while he was home or at Northern Light Maine Coast Hospital; it meant so much to all of us. Also, the nurses, doctors and the hospice caretakers associated with his stay. All gave him excellent care and were considerate, thoughtful and kind throughout his stay. Dusty will be forever loved and remembered by his wife, Tammie; son, Kyle; daughter-in-law, Autumn; grandsons, Tabor and Avery; granddaughter, Tatum; mother, Martha Reed; father Donnie (who predeceased Dusty) and his wife Bonnie; brother, Galen 'Sput' and his wife Janice; brother, Kevin and his wife Debbie; sister Lorrie and her husband Mike; along with many loved nieces, nephews, in-laws, friends and their families."
