He was Director of Music and Choir Director at the church. He was a retired school teacher who taught in West Fairview, Newville and Steelton schools for over 42 years. He was a member of the National Retired Teacher's Association, the Pennsylvania State Educator's Association and AARP. He was a member of the Hershey Symphony Orchestra and a past member of the Harrisburg Symphony. He managed the Penny Arcade in Hershey Park for 37 years. He is survived by three daughters, Jean Faul, Steelton Sandra Rogozinski, Seattle, Wash., and Karen Hoerner, Steelton; one son, John M. Hoerner, RD2 Gardners; one sister, Pearl Wollerton, Newtown Square; 14 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in the Centenary United Methodist Church, 1010 Orchard Drive, Steelton, with the Rev. Charles A. Russ officiating. Burial will be in the Restland Cemetery, Loysville."
