[8518] Clifford's obituary: "Clifford Wm. Spivy, 87, of Rogersville, passed away Sunday, January 27, 2008, at his home. Clifford was born July 19, 1920, in Montpelier, Ohio, to Pleasant Wm. Spivy and Sarah Josephine (Finkbiner) Spivy. Clifford was a graduate of Willard High School and a longtime member of the Rogersville Church of Christ. Clifford was a dairy and cattle farmer and a carpenter with his brother for many years. He was married to Josephine "Joy" in 1942. She preceded him in death in 1998. He was married to June Dismuke on June 5, 1999, and she survives of the home. Also surviving are one son, Paul Spivy and wife, Tahlula, of Rogersville; one brother, Thomas of Bakersfield, Calif.; one sister, Rachel Straw and husband, Gilbert, of Rogersville; June's children, Michael Dismuke (Chris), Pat McElwain (Dave) and Susan Joy (Kirby); sister-in-law, Maxine Spivy of Rogersville; grandchildren, Greg (Laura) and Derrick (Carrie); two step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Clifford was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Willard and Lyle; and an infant sister, Ruth."
