He also spelled his surname Connor (as on his tombstone in the Castine cemetery, lot L 604). "The Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine], 7 September 1942," p. 7: "Castine, Sept. 6 - Robert A. Connor, 64, died suddenly at his home here Saturday evening. He was born in Penobscot, the son of the late Ezra and Ada Connor. He has lived in Castine for more than 40 years. Mr. Connor lost his wife two years ago. He was a member of the IOOF. He is survived by two sons, Robert K. Connor of the U. S. Coast Guard. and Gerald Connor of Plainville, Conn.; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and four brothers, Norman, Rochelle, Merle and Arthur, all of Castine."

She was born Nov. 28, 1918, in Columbia, daughter of Eugene and Matilda (Hartford) Kelley. Annie was a member of Order of the Eastern Star of Milbridge for more than 50 years; Thursday Club; and First Congregational Church, Milbridge. She is survived by two children, Rebecca and her husband, Dennis Young, of Augusta and Walter Strout of Milbridge; six grandchildren, Joseph, Brian and Daniel Strout, Charles Young, Amy Kemp and Catherine Young; eight great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins, including a special niece, Evelyn Walker. Annie was the last surviving sibling of 13 brothers and sisters. In addition to her husband, parents, brothers and sisters, she was predeceased by one son, Everett E. Strout."
