[2225] Proposed by some as wife of William I [or "William II"] of Burgundy. Others state that William's wife was Gertrudis of Limburg. Ernst-Friedrich Kraentzler, "The Ancestry of Richard Plantagenet and Cecily de Neville..." (Salt Lake City, 1978), p. 139, gives William II's wife as Etienette de Longwy. "Ancestral Roots..." (Balt., 1992) indicates that her parentage is unprovable. She is the Etiennette of Barcelona in this database according to http://www.mathematical.com/barcelonastephanie.html (in 2003; not verified).
[60866] The unverified file 2Q1V-K8C in familysearch.org offers: "When Susannah Dow was born on 9 May 1779, in Deer Isle, Hancock, Maine, United States, her father, Cpl. John Dow, was 24 and her mother, Elizabeth "Betty" Saunders, was 24. She married William Staples on 5 January 1797, in Deer Isle, Hancock, Maine, United States. They were the parents of at least 2 sons and 3 daughters. She lived in Clifton, Penobscot, Maine, United States in 1850. She was buried in Clifton, Penobscot, Maine, United States."
