[58122] Barbara is daughter of Emerson Eaton Bartlett (1891-1975) & Lydia Almeada Day (1890-1975). "The Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine]," 26 June 2023: "Houlton - Barbara (Bartlett) Kinney, age 94, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 6, 2023. Born July 31, 1928, in Danforth, Maine, she was the ninth child of Emerson and Lydia (Day) Bartlett. Barbara was the loving wife of the late Austin S. Kinney for 63 years. Barbara was a graduate of Danforth High School class of 1950 and Ring School of Nursing, Arlington, MA, class of 1948. She worked many years at the Aroostook Hospital, the Danforth Nursing Home, and also as a private duty nurse. In 1977, Barbara and her husband acquired Kinney Boarding Home where she served as the administrator for 23 years caring for 19 residents, who were her friends, along with her faithful staff until her retirement in 1999. Barbara attended the First Baptist Church of Houlton, and was a member of the Danforth Alumni Association faithfully attending the annual Alumni Banquet for 72 years. She loved God, her family, and nature. Barbara enjoyed many years of camping, trout fishing, and ice fishing. She especially loved her family, friends and East Grand Lake, and her dear friends, Colleen and Doug London and Jimmy Knapp. Barbara is survived by her eight beloved children, Helen (Ginger) Bachand of Auburn, Fawner and Roderick Thomas, Candice Kinney of Old Orchard Beach, Mary Carlos and her husband, Michael, Austin S. Kinney Jr. and his wife, Diane, Kevin Kinney of Florida, Timothy Kinney and his wife, Linda, of Minot, Rebecca Kinney; 15 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased in death by brothers, Eaton, Richard, John, Bill and Winston; sisters, Izetta Larabee, Faye Stilphen, Helen Beale, Martha Dayle Nason; and two infant brothers, Roger and Russell."

Pollins, of 319 South Pennsylvania Ave., Greensburg, had served as a director or officer o of many charitable organizations in the community at one time or another in his career. He was a general practitioner of law in Greensburg where he practiced with his brother, Calvin E., and his son, John W. Pollins III, the last our years. Pollins had been a director the Greensburg Library since 1938, and was president of the organization at the time it iacquired its new facilities from the Post Office Department. Born May 27, 1900, in Greensburg, he attended elementary schools in the city and graduated from Greensburg High School in 1919. He attended Geneva College and the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, where he graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in 1923. He received his doctor of law degree from University of Michigan School in 1926, the year he was admitted to the Westmoreland County Bar. He was a member, congregational treasurer and an elder of the United Presbyterian Church for 20 years until joining the First Presbyterian Church in Greensburg five years ago. Pollins was a member of Greensburg Kiwanis Club for 40 years and a past president of the club. He was a member of the Greensburg School Board for 12 years had served as president of the Citizens Law Library in the courthouse for many years. At the time of his death he a director of the First Bank of Westmoreland, Greensburg, a position he had held since 1952. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lydia Jane Ramsey Pollins; two children, Mrs. Elizabeth Jane O'Leary of Fairlawn, N. J., and John W. III of Unity Township, six grandchildren, and one brother, Calvin E."
