Rickard, a well known saddler for fifty years, was found dead at his home in Blain on Saturday morning about 6:30 o'clock, from a heart attack. He was ill the day before but went to bed in apparently good health. When he failed to arise at the usual hour, his brother, James, went to his room and found him dead. Mr. Rickard was a son of the late Jacob Rickard, who also was a saddler. He was 72 years old at the time of his death. Mr. Rickard is survived by two brothers and four sisters: James C. Rickard, of Blain; Mrs. Joseph Kistler, of Harrisburg; Mrs. Frank P. Lightner and Mrs. Benjamin F. Kell, of Loysville; Mrs. Annie Showvaker, of Harrisburg, and Benjamin F. Rickard of Lewistown. Burial was made at Loysville, Perry county."
