"Maine Families in 1790, Vol. 4," Joseph Crook Anderson II and Louis Ware Thurston, editors (Camden, ME: Picton Press, 1994), p. 13 states Eliakim and Jane r. Cherryfield in 1830. Eliakim served in the U.S. Infantry during the War of 1812 according to his pension application.

The funeral will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday at Neal-Tarpley Chapel with Brother Tom Payne officiating. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until the hour of the service Thursday at the funeral home. Neal-Tarpley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born July 6, 1941 in Bangor, ME. daughter of the late Orren and Lois Goode of Hampden, ME. Mrs. Viering was a retired RN of 35 years, and enjoyed her retirement, travel, and family. Survivors include her loving husband of 47 years, Jerry Viering; daughters, Patricia Eldridge (Rory) of Clarksville; Danine Getchell (companion Junior Stickles) of Stafford, VA; son, Martin Viering (companion Kate McCoubrey) of Stuart, FL; brothers, Roger Goode (Nancy); Durwin Goode (the late Linda) and Loren Goode (Jeanie); sister, Gloria Jordon (Raymond) all from Maine; and three wonderful granddaughters, Nicole, Alexis, and Lindsey Eldridge. Marcia had many friends in the Northern Virginia and Bangor-Brewer Maine areas."

Roy of Bristol, Conn., Alton L. Gross and his wife Tippy, of Bucksport, Anna Scott and her husband Dea,n of Manset, Gerry M. Gross I and his wife Cayte of East Orland; 14 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, including a special nephew, Bill Harriman. She was predeceased by her parents, husband Alton M. Gross; brother Merle Leach; two sisters, Beatrice Harriman and twin sister Beulah Servisky. . . . Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Prospect."

Xander (Sander)(Zander) was born on March 21, 1750, in Söllingen, Baden-Württemberg, Germany, his father, Hans, was 45 and his mother, Anna, was 36. He had 11 children with Maria Catharine Stettler and one other child. He died on November 22, 1824, in Weisenberg, Pennsylvania, at the age of 74. When Maria Catharine Stettler was born on March 22, 1750, in Northampton, Pennsylvania, her father, Daniel, was 20. She had seven sons and four daughters with David B. Xander (Sander)(Zander) between 1773 and 1799. She died on March 3, 1802, at the age of 51."
