[52480] "Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine]," 19 December 2022: "Stetson and Plymouth - Douglas Grant Tibbetts, 73, went home to be with the Lord unexpectedly December 17, 2022, in Palmyra doing something that he loved to do, plowing out his church for Sunday morning services. He was born September 12, 1949, in Etna, a son of Orie and Marguerite (Whitley) Tibbetts. Doug was a well known, capable mechanic and was also a self employed used car salesman. He was a past member and former elder of the Emmanuel Bible Baptist Church in Plymouth and was a current member of the Palmyra Church. Doug was also a former selectman and constable for the Town of Plymouth. He also enjoyed collecting a variety of antiques. He was a hard worker enabling all of his children to be educated at a private Christian school. He will be sadly missed by his family and church family. He is survived by his 4 children, Loraine and husband, Kenneth Bubar, of Bangor, Cynthia and husband, Nathan Lane, of Glenburn, Timothy and wife, Heather Tibbetts, of Stetson, Rebecca and husband, Pasquale Addessi, of Levant; a special niece and adopted daughter, Elizabeth (Tibbetts) Morrow of Oklahoma; 9 grandchildren that he was so proud of: Andrew, Sydney, Devan, Dominick, David, Anthony, Joshua, Spencer and Daniel. He is also survived by 2 siblings, Edwin Tibbetts of Jay, and Alice Paduchak of Keene, NH; and his best friend and companion, Chris of Troy."
