He was invested as a Knight on 9 July 1603. He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Thirsk in 1614. He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Thirsk from 1621 to 1622. He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Thirsk from 1624 to 1625. He succeeded to the title of 2nd Baronet Belasyse, of Newborough, co. York circa August 1624. He was created 1st Baron Fauconberg of Yarm, co. York on 25 May 1627. He was created 1st Viscount Fauconberg of Henknowle, in the Bishopric of Durham on 31 January 1642/43."

She was born October 14, 1938, on her maternal grandparent's farm in Southeast Monson. She was the daughter of Raymond F. Moulton and Violet M. (Dauphinee) Moulton. Winnie was raised by Violet and Myron Packard. She enjoyed her time at 'The Farm' of Lawson and Myrtle (Knowles) Dauphinee, where she was the first grandchild. Winnie married Richard A. Elderkin, and they had more than 50 years together, before his passing on February 11, 2010. They were predeceased by their son, Richard A. 'Butch' Elderkin Jr., on August 21, 1995. Winnie is survived by daughters, Judith Howard and her husband, Scott, and Debby Willis and her husband, Jerry; and her son, Myron 'Mike' Elderkin and his wife, Gerri. She is also survived by 5 grandsons, Kurt Howard, Craig Howard, Roy Trice, Dylan Elderkin, and Jeremy Elderkin; and 8 great-grandchildren, Sicily, Warren, Carter, Mason, Isabelle, Landon, Riley and John Henry. Winnie is also survived by her special friend and sister-in-law, Pat Johnson, who was the sister mom never had. She was predeceased by her two best friends, Gloria Elliott and Priscilla Nason. She missed them every day."
