[8691] Edith apparently (2) m. ______ Kline, as this is her surname on her grave marker. Ancestry.com offers: "Barnes Name Meaning - English: topographic name or metonymic occupational name for someone who lived by or worked at a barn or barns, from Middle English barn 'barn', 'granary'. In some cases, it may be a habitational name from Barnes (on the Surrey bank of the Thames in London), which was named in Old English with this word. English: name borne by the son or servant of a barne, a term used in the early Middle Ages for a member of the upper classes, although its precise meaning is not clear (it derives from Old English beorn, Old Norse barn 'young warrior'). Barne was also occasionally used as a personal name (from an Old English, Old Norse byname), and some examples of the surname may derive from this use. Irish: possibly an Anglicized form of Gaelic Ó Bearáin 'descendant of Bearán', a byname meaning 'spear'. French: variant of Bern"
[16818] Her family name is also seen "Behler". Elizabeth's birth is either 15 or 25 March. The federal census 21 Oct 1850 in North Codorus Twp., York Co., PA lists her as age 52! She is identified in Daughters of the American Revolution membership application for National No. 570440 and is not otherwise verified. This is also the source for their son, Isaac. Robert Nelson (rk-nelson@worldnet.att.net) gives her death as 27 Apr 1876.

[6669] Winifred never married.
Virginia Horler
She was the sister of Mary Lumbert who married his brother, Daniel Parker. "Benjamin Parker probably inherited some of his father's land in Yarmouth, Mass., and was the only one of Robert's sons to settle in that town. Due to the loss of most Yarmouth records not much trace of him remains. He died intestate, and settlement of his estate was made 19 Aug. 1720. Distribution was made to:"Rebecca, the widow relict of Benjamin Parker of Yarmouth deceased" and "to his eldest son, Ebenezer Parker" as well as to his "eight younger children, Jacob, Elisha, Joseph, Thankful, Hannah, Benjamin, Sarah, and Rebecca" (Barnstable Probates, vol.III, pp.546-547)" (Quoted from The New England Historical and Genealogical Register, Volume 112, October, 1958).
