Alta was born on April 14, 1944, in Wytopitlock, Maine. She lived a life rooted in love for her family and a deep appreciation for the simple joys of life. Alta was the daughter of Alton and Nora Chambers. Alta spent her younger years playing high school basketball, where her peers fondly nicknamed her "TNT" for her dynamite playing skills. She was small, but a mighty opponent. Later in life, She spent many enjoyable years working at PCI and also cherished her time as a stay-at-home mom. Alta found great joy raising her children and spending countless hours playing any sport or outdoor game with them. Alta's heart belonged to her family. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Richard B. Hamilton; her partner, Cecil P. Theriault; her sister, Diane Jacob; her daughter, Laurie A. Worster; her sons, John J. Hamilton and George A. Theriault; and her parents, Alton and Nora Chambers; her pet porcupine, Troubles; and her dog, Lady. She is lovingly remembered by her surviving children, Richard A. Hamilton and wife, Brandi, Mary T. Watters and partner, JC Gerrish, Debra M. Hamilton and partner, Scott Lowell, Wade Theriault, and Brad Theriault. Alta also held a special place in her heart for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whose lives were brightened by her warmth and playful spirit. In her final weeks, Alta was cared for at home by her daughters, Mary and Debra, a testament to the deep bond they shared. Alta's life will be remembered by the memories shared by those who knew her - in the yard playing and laughing with her children, on the softball fields under summer skies, in a bowling alley listening to the pins fall, around the card table filled with laughter and jokes, and in her quiet strength. May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her."

John's obituary from ""The Leader-Vindicator" [New Bethlehem, Clarion Co., PA]: "John Wesley Doverspike, a lifetime resident of Pierce, Pa., passed away at his home at the age of 76 years, May 28, 1926. He was born on a farm near Fairmount City Aug. 6, 1849. Early in life he married Catherine Procious who preceded him in death twenty years ago. To this union were born twelve children, six sons and six daughters. Seven of these children preceded their father in death. Those who remain are Mrs. H.A. Boozer, of North Freedom; Mrs. S.C. Campbell, of Franklin; Mrs. John Sheridan, of Hawthorn; E.H. Doverspike, of Pierce; C.M. Doverspike, of near Limestone. Later in life he married Mrs. Hockenberry, of Hawthorn, who also survives. Mr. Doverspike was a member of the Evangelical church for more than 50 years. He was a devoted father and a faithful husband. During his lifetime he made many friends in the community in which he lived and was always ready and willing to aid them in times of trouble."
