He has resided in Beatrice since returning to Nebraska 13 years ago. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Jeanne Treleaven Kilroy; children, Robert Zito (Karla), of Lincoln, Russell Zito (Josi), of Wymore, Jennifer Zito, of Portland, Ore., and Spencer Kilroy, of Kansas City, Mo; brother, Patrick Kilroy, of Borrego Springs, Calif; sister, Ruth Elizebeth Brown, of El Cajon, Calif; grandchildren, Shannon, Sarah, Elizabeth, Weston, Isabelle, Nicholas and Abigale; great-grandchildren, Sammie, Emma, and Randy. He was preceded in death by his father, Benjamin Oliver Kilroy, Sr; mother, Ruth Hutchison Perkins; and brother, Theodore.
Sam was honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy after serving from 1951 to 1955 in Japan and Korea. He was an avid tool collector, trader and antique dealer. Golfing, fishing, and hunting were his passions. He worked diligently on his treadmill and lifted weights until recently."

[58704] "The Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine]," 4 February 2025: "Columbia Falls - Embert 'Brother' M. Tibbetts Jr. passed away peacefully January 29, 2025, at home with family by his side. Embert was born May 9, 1954, in Jonesport, Maine, to Embert Sr. and Letitia (Tyler) Tibbetts. He spent most of his life living in Columbia Falls. He attended Narraguagus High School, graduating in 1972. Embert had fond memories of his time on the baseball field, while in high school. After high school, Embert worked as a long haul driver for Gordon Kelly, a delivery driver for Ridge Dairy, then for William Coffin and Sons hauling bait and plowing snow. After several years, he started Brothers Construction which he operated until his passing. Embert enjoyed hunting and fishing, playing his tickets, working in the garden, playing cribbage and horseshoes. He was an avid Red Sox fan, going to several games over the years. Embert spent many years having camps in the Cove at Montegail Pond. As many know, Embert went at his own pace, 'When he got round tuit' it would get done. He is survived by his life partner of 26 years, Suzette Grant; son, Kyle Tibbetts and wife, Hillary; daughters, Loni Caler and husband, Aaron, and Erin Grant; granddaughters, Alexis Corcoran and husband, Matthew, and Haven Tibbetts. He leaves behind his siblings, Jane Coffin and husband, Billy, Steve Tibbetts, and Renee Rogers and husband, Kyle; an uncle, Harold Tyler Jr.; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends too numerous to name. He was predeceased by his parents; nephew, Timothy Coffin; and great-nephew, Brendon Coffin. The family would like to extend their gratitude to Skye Davis of Beacon Hospice for her excellent care over the last few weeks of Embert's life."
