"The Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine]," 19 November 2021: "Augusta - It is with great celebration and much sadness that we share with you Raymond Morrison, 92, passed peacefully November 14, 2021, from natural causes.
Ray was born in Oakfield, Maine on September 28, 1929, to Lillian (Perkins) Morrison and Kelcy Morrison. He graduated from Oakfield High School. He served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Okinawa during the Korean War. He was a dedicated worker at whatever job he held. Ray worked in the woods logging with his family at the age of 8 years old, picked potatoes, and helped construct the Maine State House. However, he was most proud of his 40 year career as a foreman in road construction. Driving around, he would say, 'I paved this road!' He was an avid reader, loved to dance, listen to big band music, watch sports, and socialize with family and friends. Ray is survived by his daughter, Sharalyn (Sherry) Morrison-Andrews; and husband, David; his son, Michael Morrison and partner, Kelsie French. His two grandchildren, Jesse Morrison and Dylan Morrison and his wife, Kara; and his great-grandson, who he was so proud of, Lincoln Morrison. Ray is predeceased by his wife, Beatrice McCall Morrison; his parents and siblings, Delmas Morrison, Margaret Saucier, Rose Buckmore, Arlene Michaud, Kelcy Morrison and Robert Morrison."
