He graduated from Stearns High school, Class of 1950 and the University of Maine. After college he served 2 years in the United States Armed Forces. He worked several years in the hotel management business. William is survived by his sister Mary Jane and her husband Terrance Bragan; a nephew, Scott MacDonald and a niece Lisa and husband James Hinds and children Courtney and Ashleigh. He was predeceased by his brother Thomas Brown and his parents."
