[60625] Eunice is daughter of Charles Edward Folsom (1894-1969) & Leila Elaine Pierce (1897-1964; m. 12 April 1917 in ME). "The Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine]," 16 February 2019: "Orrington, Maine - Eunice Howard Baldwin,92, entered eternity peacefully on February 13, 2019 at a Bangor healthcare facility with her loving family by her side. She was born the daughter of Charles E. Folsom Jr and Leila E. Pierce Folsom on March 26, 1926. Eunice grew up on a dairy farm on the Wiswell Road in Brewer, graduated from Brewer High School and the Maine School of Commerce, now Husson University. She was one of seven children: Phyllis, Charlotte, Wendell, Buddy, Eunice, Josephine, and Carolyn. She considered herself 'the odd one' being the middle child. She started out as a medical secretary and when her children were growing up, she was a secretary to the supervising principal of 3 Orrington Schools. She went on to work at the Maine State Human Services as well as for Eastern Maine Technical College as secretary to the Dean of Continuing Education. She also sold Avon for 19 years while working her other jobs. Eunice was married to Roger Howard for 53 years and dearly loved their five children: stepson, Roger Jr, Peggy, Brent, Colleen and Bill, as well as their grand and great-grandchildren. Her hobbies included camping, knitting, crocheting, quilting, cooking and genealogy. She made at least one quilt for each of her children & grandchildren plus crocheted afghans for new babies as well. Her major hobby in later years was genealogy whereby she was accepted into the General Society of Mayflower Descendants and became a member of the Mayflower Society after researching the authenticity of her being the 9th generation descendant of John Alden. After she and her husband Roger retired, they enjoyed ten winters in Zephyrhills, FL. While there, she was active in Ralph Park's activities and volunteered at the East Pasco Medical Center. She also volunteered at Eastern Maine Technical College, the Brewer Public Library and the Audubon Society at the Fields Pond Nature Center. After her husband, Roger, passed away she volunteered at the Maine Veterans Home and the Orrington Public Library. She married Earl Baldwin in 2003 and enjoyed 8 years with him. Eunice was also a member and officer of the auxiliary to Maurice Miles VFW Post #4527, past matron of the Millwee Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star #198, past mother advisor of the Orrington Rainbow for Girls and a life member of the Grange. She is survived by her children; John and Peggy Masterman of Lowell, ME; Brent and Jayne Howard, of Bucksport; Ron and Colleen Johnson, of So. Portland; Bill and Linda Howard, of Old Orchard Beach; daughter-in-law, Lynn Bromley of So. Portland; plus numerous grandchildren: Ron and Diana Howard, Rob and Susan Howard, Rick and Darcy Howard, Josh and Ashley Masterman, Jenn and Becky Saulnier, Dave and Kristin Varnum, Kyle and Courtney Howard, Jordan and Crystal Buchmann, Ben and Emily Rodgers, Alex and Claire Cox, and Mitchell Howard, plus 14 great-grandchildren. Eunice was predeceased by her husband Roger W. Howard in 2002, her second husband Earl H. Baldwin in 2012, and son Roger Howard Jr. in 2010."

[21269] He and his brother "Bert" moved to Orland, ME and were brickmakers there."The Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine], 15 January 1923," p. 5: "The people of Orland were saddened by the news of the death of Artemus W. Hutchings which occurred at his home in Orland Jan. 8th. For a number of years Mr. Hutchings had been in failing health, although getting about for most of the time. The end came after two weeks of severe suffering. Mr. Hutchings was born in Penobscot in 1849. In 1876 he came to Orland and engaged in the brick business with his brother under the firm name of A. W. and A. B. Hutchings, manufacturers of brick. He continued in the brick business, for about 42 years and then retired. Since retiring from business while keeping about as much as possible, Mr, Hutchings has had a hard struggle with the desease from which he finally succumbed Jan. 8th at the age of 73. His many friends at Orland, Penobscot and elsewhere will long remember him for his integrity as a man of business, and for his loyalty as a citizen and friend. He is survived by his wife, formerly Miss Nina Wright of Bangor, his son Roland, who is a sophomore at the University of Maine, also three brothers, A. B. and F. Homer Hutchings of Orland and Geo. W. Hutchings of Whittier, Cal."
[58565] Margie is daughter of Fred William Lowe (1866-1951) & Katie Evelyn Moody (1880-1952; m. 16 June 1900 in Searsport, Waldo Co., ME).
