She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Elmer, in October of 2022; sister, Charlene Robicheau; beloved younger sister, Constance 'Connie' Cole, who died as a toddler; brothers-in-law, Paul Bouchard and Donald Robicheau; daughter, Brenda Condon; sons-in-law, James Peasley Jr. and Winfield Smith. She is survived by sister-in-law: Annabelle Bouchard of Brockton, MA; children: Freida Peasley (Gerry), Brenda Condon (predeceased) (Don) of Brooksville, Homer Lowell (Megan), Claudia Smith of Penobscot; 7 grandchildren: Steve Peasley (Camille), Stacey Hutchins (Al), Jaime Torrey (Mike), Jeff Condon (Katie), Jacob Lowell (Haley), Ryan Lowell (Mary), Emily Lowell; 12 great-grandchildren: Jack Pascal, Hoyt, Cora, Trafton, and Harland Hutchins, Harlie and Nick Burke, Wayland Torrey, Oliver and Nathan Lowell, Maeve and Elliana Lowell; 1 great-great-grandchild: Ella Bartlett. Elma graduated from Bucksport High School in 1949 and graduated from Husson College in 1950. She was married to Elmer Lowell for 71 years and lived in North Penobscot, where they raised their four children. Elma was a member of the North Penobscot and Orland Extension groups, the North Penobscot and Penobscot Methodist Church, and the Penobscot Farm and Garden. She was a Ballot Clerk for the Town of Penobscot for many years. She was a devoted wife and mother. Elma enjoyed time spent with her children and grandchildren. She was a gentle and kind woman and had a smile for everyone. Elma enjoyed her flower gardens and watching the birds at the feeder. She traveled for many years with Elmer to stock car races and fairs."
