[1883] Clodius' ancestry is highly speculative! TAKE IT WITH A LARGE GRAIN OF SALT!
[41400] This person is from an unverified file in Ancestry.com in 2016. Ancestry.com offers: "James Name Meaning - English: from a personal name that has the same origin as Jacob. However, among English speakers, it is now felt to be a separate name in its own right. This is largely because in the Authorized Version of the Bible (1611) the form James is used in the New Testament as the name of two of Christ's apostles (James the brother of John and James the brother of Andrew), whereas in the Old Testament the brother of Esau is called Jacob. The form James comes from Latin Jacobus via Late Latin Jac(o)mus, which also gave rise to Jaime, the regular form of the name in Spanish (as opposed to the learned Jacobo). See also Jack and Jackman. This is a common surname throughout the British Isles, particularly in South Wales."

[52261] "The Perry County Democrat, 13 January 1937": "Mrs. Frances Shuman, aged 29 years 9 months and 22 days, wife of Harry Shuman, died suddenly of a heart attack about 11:20 p.m. Wednesday of last week at her home in Sheaffer's Valley. The children having the whooping cough, she had risen to attend to several of them who were seized with coughing spells and had lain down again when her mother, sleeping in the same room, heard her breathing with a rattling sound and hastened to her bedside, calling her to answer, but she had expired almost instantly. Her sudden death is a terrible shock to the family and friends, she having been in excellent health before. Surviving her are her husband, the following children, Anna Mae, 6; Harry Earl, 4; Gladys Irene, 2 and Neil Franklin, born November 3, 1936, and her mother, Mrs. Annie Rice Morrow. Her father, George Morrow, died last winter; also surviving are a brother and two sisters, Earl Morrow, Scheaffer's Valley; Erma, Mrs. Harry Stum, Loysville and Irene, Mrs. Roscoe Morrison, of Kennedy's Valley."
[45194] "The Times-Tribune [Scranton, PA], 9 December 1993," p. 11: "Steve 'Ace' Pregrim, 303 Church St., Old Forge, died Wednesday evening in Moses Taylor Hospital.
