Find A Grave memorial 138636892 offers: "Sir William Hilton, Baron of Hilton, who entailed his estates, 18 Henry VIII., and died before 1537. By Sybill Lumley, his wife, granddau. of George, Lord Lumley, he had a dau., Anne, m. to Sir Ralph Hedworth, Knt. of Harraton, and two sons, Thomas and William. The elder, Sir Thomas Hilton, Knt., Baron of Hilton, was captain of Tynmouth Castle under Philip and Mary. He had no fewer than four wives, and yet he died issueless. His brother and heir, William, previously of Biddic, appears to have been a sad contrast to the virtuous race from which he sprang, if we may credit the strange story told by Dr. Bulleyn, a learned physician in the reigns of Edward VI., Mary, and Elizabeth. The doctor seems to have enjoyed the largest practice of his time, in the city of Durham, and to have stood high in the favour of the deceased Baron of Hilton; but no sooner was the fact of that gentleman's death known, than the new inheritor, "Mr. William Hilton, of Biddic," charged Bulleyn with the murder of his brother, and had him arraigned before the Duke of Norfolk. The doctor, however, was honourably acquitted; but still the Baron of Hilton ceased not from persecuting him: he basely "hired ruffians to assassinate the hapless physician;" and when that scheme miscarried, had him thrown into prison for debt. In one of his works, Bulleyn disclaims, con amove, against the crying sin of ingratitude, which, "malgre high titles, long pedigrees, and numerous quarterings," he assumes to be "a most sable escutcheon, even in the fairest field;"

"News-Journal [Mansfield, Ohio]," 20 August 1943, p. 9: "Shiloh - Mrs. Lois Hunter Ferrell, 76, native of Cass township and a life-long resident of Richland county, died in Shelby Memorial hospital Thursday after an illness of two weeks. The widow of Adelphos Ferrell, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. S. C. Holtz of Shelby and Mrs. Darley Arnold of Shiloh; two sons, Rollo of Mansfield and Dale of Shelby; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Mrs. Ferrell was a member of the Baptist church at Five Points."

"Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine], 15 December 2022": "Bangor - Kenneth Eldridge Stone, 81, died peacefully at home, on December 12, 2022. Ken was born September 24, 1941, in Bangor, Maine, the son of the late Marcella (Cote) Stone and Eldridge Grant Stone. Ken graduated from Bangor High School in 1959 where he was active in a variety of sports, music, and Junior Achievement. Following high school, Ken enlisted in the United States Navy, serving in Alaska and Hawaii. While enlisted, Ken played the trombone in the Navy band and competed in the Navy softball team. Upon honorable discharge, Ken studied business at Husson College. Ken's character, humor, charm, and ability to easily connect with people allowed him to thrive in his career in sales and hospitality management. Ken managed several restaurants in Waterville and Bangor, ME, including The Silent Woman, the Chuck Wagon, and Captain Nick's. He also excelled in advertising and sales for local trade publications. Ken was an important and reliable fixture in his community. A loyal member of the Elks Club, he could often be found in the local lodge attempting to best his fellow members in a game of poker. After retiring, Ken relished his time on the back deck solving crossword and sudoku puzzles, entertaining friends and family, and perhaps even sneaking peanuts (and naming!) the chipmunks who frequented. A fisherman, golfer, and collector of vintage baseball cards, Ken also loved music and the American gospel singer Mahalia Jackson was one of his favorites. More than anything Ken loved his family. The oldest of seven children, Ken assumed the role of 'Dad' to his six siblings after his father passed prematurely. He was the best man at his brother's weddings and walked each of his sisters down the aisle. A confirmed bachelor until 34, Ken married Bonnie-Lou Johnson (Perry) in 1975 and became an immediate and dedicated father to Fletcher Johnson and Jodi-ann Johnson. He loved being 'Grandpa Ken' and was fully present for his grandchildren. Ken had an easy way of loving people and was authentically and wholeheartedly there for the people in his life. Ken is survived by his wife of 47 years, Bonnie-Lou; his son, Fletcher Johnson and wife Jennifer Johnson; and his daughter Jodi-ann Johnson and husband Stephen Averill; as well as his grandchildren, Brooke and Stone Johnson, Ashley Lindsay; Ally, Jonah, and Zoe Averill. Ken is survived by his three sisters Sharon Roy, Ginger Lord, and Melanie Cavanaugh; and two brothers, Joe Stone and Jeff Stone. His brother Tim Stone predeceased him. Ken will be especially missed by his many nieces, nephews, and extended family. Ken also cherished his lifelong friends Paul McPheters and Ken Dumont, and the best of neighbors: Avis, Joel, Jack, and Betty."

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sunderland reports "Sunderland is a city at the centre of the City of Sunderland metropolitan borough, in Tyne and Wear, North East England, 10 miles southeast of Newcastle upon Tyne, 12 miles northeast of Durham, 101 miles southeast of Edinburgh, 104 miles north of Manchester and 240 miles north of London. It is a coastal city at the mouth of the River Wear with beaches at Roker and Seaburn. The etymology of Sunderland is derived from "sundered land", meaning land "sundered", or set aside for a special purpose, from those belonging to the monastery at Monkwearmouth. Historically in County Durham, there were three original settlements on the site of modern-day Sunderland." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/City_of_Sunderland offers: "The City of Sunderland (/'s?nd?rl?nd/) is a local government district of Tyne and Wear, in North East England, with the status of a city and metropolitan borough. It is named after its largest settlement, Sunderland, but covers a far larger area . . . "
