He died sometime after the 15th of Sept., 1705, the date of his father's will where Jonathan Jr. is mentioned, probably in Falmouth, Barnstable, Massachusetts Bay Colony. He was buried in the Old Burying Ground, in Falmouth."

Mr. Henry Motz, one of the best farmers in Madison County, raised this year, over 1,100 bushels of sweet potatoes on between 5 and 6 acres of land. At 50 cents a bushel, they would bring over $550. - Originally published in The Huntsville Weekly Democrat on Wednesday, October 25 1882. An obituary for Dr. Henry Motz was published in The New South on Saturday, May 23, 1885 Page: 3 Column: 3. Mr. Motz was a surveyor.
