She was born December 9, 1931 to Elmer and Dorothy (Webb) Gross. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by Thomas Eaton (son-in-law), Sidney Gross (brother), Judy Lorraine Billings (daughter), and Everett Billings (husband). Surviving Betty are her 6 children Kathleen (Billings) Eaton, Dana (Barbara) Billings, Brian (Annette) Billings, Beth (Paul) Bigler, Jerry (Prudence) Billings, and Brad (Suzanne) Billings, as well as her 11 grandchildren, Ben (Stephanie) Billings, Marissa (Zach) Billings, Amanda Bigler Brunswick, Joseph Bigler, Ryan Billings, Josh Billings, Cameron Billings, Connor Billings, Dominick (Elizabeth) Billings, Delaney (Kyle) Billings and Desmond Billings. Also surviving Betty are her 7 great grandchildren Adalyn, Robby, Brenna, Kendra, Brianna, Everleigh, and Abigail, along with several nieces and nephews. Betty had many passions that included knitting, reading books and sharing them with others (during her stay at St. Andre's she was resident librarian and donated over 100 books to the facility), baking cookies and dog treats, sending cards for every occasion to everyone she knew and volunteering at the Island Nursing Home. She was a lifetime member of Eastern Star and long-time member of the Stonington Methodist Church, where she loved to sing in the choir.
