Geist, 74, one of the best knows farmers of the lower end of the county, died at his home at Leck Kill following several weeks' illness due to a complication of diseases. Geist was a native of the lower end of the county and had been active in public affairs and political life of his home community. Surviving are the following sons and daughters: Walter Geist and Mrs. Ray Haas, Pitman; Forrest Geist, Rebuck; Mrs. Robert Wolfgang, Klingerstown; Mrs. Lester Reitz, Mrs. Bertha Geist Harry Geist and John Geist all of Leck Kill; three brothers, John, Charles and James Geist, of Williamstown and one sister, Mrs. George Troutman, Port Trevorton. Services will be held Tuesday morning at 10:00 at Leck Hill Reformed Church. Rev. James Beam, pastor, will officiate and Interment will be in the church cemetery."
