[61999] Randall's obituary: "Deer Isle - Randall 'Randy' Lane Betts, 65, of Deer Isle, Maine, passed away unexpectedly November 26, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. Born January 9, 1960, to George and Viola (Shepard) Betts, Randy grew up with a deep connection to the island, especially Sunshine, being on his lobster boat, music, and his beloved family and friends. Randy will be remembered for his humor, strong work ethic, kindness, and unwavering generosity. He was the kind of man who would take the shirt off his back for anyone. Whether he was out lobstering in the bay, spending time with his beloved dog, Lucky, or simply being present for his family, Randy lived his life with a full and loyal heart. Music was a special part of his life. Randy was well known for singing and playing harmonica alongside his siblings and friends, moments that brought joy to everyone around him and created memories his loved ones will hold close forever. He was predeceased by his parents; his siblings Rosemary, Silvia, Johnny, Ronnie, and Butch; his nephew Cory; and many cousins, aunts, and uncles. Randy is survived by his former wife, Gail Betts; his children, Stephen Betts and partner, Ariel, Jessica Jenkins and husband, Michael, Shawn Betts, Jacob Betts, and Richard Betts; and his seven grandchildren, Zander, Kayleigh, Annah, Taya, Noah, Ashabella, and Jacob Jr., who brought him tremendous joy. He is also survived by his siblings Thomas and wife, Brenda, Dana and wife, Marsha, Joey and wife, Kathy, and Arno and partner, Donna, as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will miss him deeply."

[2773] The marriage date is probably incorrect - see date of birth of son, Samuel. Samuel and wife Molly (Mary) Gerrish are from George Colson, 18989 Sweet William Court, Sonoma, CA 95476, 9/91, who reports these children for them: Timothy, Gerrish, Samuel, John, Molly, Sarah, Lydia, Fanny, [son], James (?) and Moses (?). See D.H.Colson & S.D.Colson, "The Descendants of Cornelius Cursonwhit of Dover, N.H.", 1991, pp. 155ff - also see the notes for his son, Samuel. Samuel was an early settler of Cherryfield, ME (1774). See "Early Narraguagus River Families of Washington County, Maine," Darryl B. Lamson and Leonard F. Tibbetts and http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~ccfha/index.htm/DescCursonwhit-3gen.png. Private in MA militia - for military service, see "MA Soldiers & Sailors," 3:839.
[52509] Benjamin is said to be son of Thomas Cushman Jr. (1637-1726) & Abigail Titus (1652-1734; m. 16 October 1679 in Rehoboth, Plymouth Colony, MA).
