[6505] Samuel's obituary: "BANGOR - Samuel Dunbar Gray, 54, died unexpectedly June 13, 2006. He was born Dec. 17, 1951, in Castine. Sam attended Bucksport and Brewer schools and Beals College in Bangor. He worked for a catering service in Bangor for several years. Sam led a quiet life and had a strong sense of compassion and kindness for all, especially towards animals and birds. His gentle nature will be missed. He is predeceased by his mother, Annie Louise (Dunbar) Gray; his father, Norman William Gray; a sister, Elizabeth Louise (Gray) Shirland; and a nephew, Eric M. Brawn. He is survived by two brothers, Robert W. Gray of Verona Island, and Charles N. Gray of Dedham; one sister, Emma L. Gray of Blue Hill; several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles; as well as two great-nephews and a great-niece."

[8548] An unverified family tree in 2019 in Ancestry.com offers: When George Amazon McGinley was born on March 18, 1883, in Shelby, Ohio, his father, Amos, was 28 and his mother, Orrilla, was 40. He married Alice Faye Allie Briner on November 24, 1904, in his hometown. They had two children during their marriage. He died on April 29, 1947, in Mansfield, Ohio, at the age of 64, and was buried in Shelby, Ohio. The LDS Church's unverified IGI file reports that a George Amazon McGinley was b. 10 March 1883 in Sharon Twp., Richland Co., OH to Amos McGinley and Orrilla Morton. Amos and Orrilla are buried in the Myers cemetery, located at the corner of State Route 39 and Davis Road (Twp. Road 183), in Richland Co., OH. "News-Journal [Mansfield, Ohio], 30 April 1947," p. 11: "George A. McGinley, 64, retired Pennsylvania railroad conductor, died Tuesday afternoon at his home, 394 Glessner avenue, after an illness of several months. He was born March 18, 1883, in Shelby. In 1908 he came to Mansfield where he was employed by the Pennsylvania railroad until he retired five years ago. He was a member of the First Lutheran church, Venus Lodge No. 152, F.& A. M., and the Brotherhood of Railway Trainmen. He leaves his wife, Alice; one son, Don McGinley of Elyria; one daughter, Mrs. Dr. C. C. Garverick pf Long Beach, Calif.; one sister, Miss Grace McGinley of Mansfield, and four grandchildren."

[45596] James' obituary: "James Paul Osmanski, 80, of Naples, FL previously of East Greenwich, RI, passed away peacefully on April 5th surrounded by his loving wife and family. 'Jim' was the son of Stanley and Elizabeth Osmanski from Shamokin, PA and loving husband of his high school sweetheart, Rosanne, his wife of 57 years, as well as loving father to his sons James (Lorene), Matthew (Colleen), Mark (Robin), and daughters Elizabeth (Mark) Harrington, Andrea (Rick) Bastien, and Amanda (Sean) Dickerson and grandfather to 15 grandchildren Erin, Zachary, Lukasz, Alanna, Matt, Brooke, Jacqueline, James, Karina, William, Emma, Gregory, Kevin, Ryan, and Liam. Jim is survived by his brother Bill Osmanski and pre-deceased by his brother Stan Osmanski. Jim dedicated his life to helping others. Receiving his BS from Saint Joseph's College in Philadelphia, PA and Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, Kirksville, MO. He was a Radiologist in Rhode Island until his retirement in 2004. Jim had a very successful career caring for others and was active in various agencies throughout his career, including multiple hospital affiliated committees, the Multiple Sclerosis Society, American Cancer Society, Lions Club, and Boys Scouts of America, to name a few. He was most proud of the achievements of his children and grandchildren. Most recently, he was an active member of St. Peter the Apostle Knights of Columbus, Naples, FL, where he worked tirelessly on their scholarship funds, community and recruitment events, and blood drives. His involvement with the Knights has left a lasting impact on the members, with the blood drives being named in his honor. In addition, he was an avid fly fisherman who enjoyed trips to Maine, Pennsylvannia, and Montana. Other hobbies included his love of woodworking, painting, and gardening. Most of all, he loved spending time with his wife and family."

He was born in Milbridge, Aug. 26, 1912, the son of Walter and Alfreda (Crocker) Strout. He attended Milbridge schools and was a 52-year member of Pleiades Lodge No. 173 AF & AM. He was a lobster fisherman all his life off Pigeon Hill in the waters around Petit Manan. In addition to his wife of nearly 65 years, Annie (Kelley) Strout, he is survived by one son, Walter Strout and his wife, Joyce, and his three boys, Joseph, Brian and Daniel, all of Milbridge; one daughter, Rebecca, and her husband, Dennis Young, their three children, Charles, Amy, and Catherine, all of Augusta; three great-grandchildren, Katelynn, Mason and Nicholas; one brother, Lawrence and his wife Sylvia of Milbridge; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by one son, Everett Eugene, in 1944."
