He was born at Eastport April 21, 1906, the son of Samuel J. and Ella (Gove) Leighton. Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Frances (Spear) Leighton of Port Clyde; three sons, Stanley of Stonington, Robert of Rockland and Karl of Port Clyde; three sisters, Mrs. Nina Tabor of Eastport, Mrs. Mabel Adams and Mrs. Manie Armstrong of Perry; and a brother.
