[53459] "Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine]," 8 April 2022: "Glenburn - Timothy Hodgkins, 72, died March 31, 2022, peacefully in his home with his wife at his side. He was born July 12, 1949, in Bangor, Maine the son of Dana and Marjorie Hodgkins. Tim graduated from Bangor High School in 1967. By that time, he had already found his passion in life, obtaining his first temporary airman certificate at the age of 17. Tim served in the United States Army from 1967 to 1969. He enjoyed a long career in aviation. He was the owner of KT Aviation at Luckey Landing Seaplane Base on Pushaw Pond, which he co-founded with his late wife Kathy. He worked as a pilot for Folsom's Flying Service, Bar Harbor Airlines, and Northwest Airlines and served as Chief Pilot for Penobscot Island Air. He was a floatplane pilot and instructor and a Designated Pilot Examiner. In his later career, he found a great deal of pleasure in being a corporate pilot for a variety of business owners and families. An advisor/mentor to many, Tim spent countless hours helping friends and strangers alike with all things aviation. He had a remarkable ability to remember details and specifications of many types and models of planes. Tim was also involved in his local community, serving on the Planning Board of Glenburn for twenty years. He was generous to many charitable and non-profit organizations, as well as family and friends. He was an avid dog lover, photographer, and storyteller. He is survived by his wife, Laura Specyal; his brothers, Peter, Dennis and Randy; his sister, Pat; nieces and nephews, and many friends. He was predeceased by his parents; his wife, Kathy; his brothers, Bryan and David."

"The News Item, 10 November 2016" offers: "Sophia Yasalonis, 91, of New Cumberland, passed away peacefully Monday, Nov. 7, 2016, at Thornwald Home in Carlisle.
Sophia was born May 8, 1925, in Coal Township, a daughter of John and Johanna (Juarz) Kanowicz. Sophia graduated from Coal Township High School in 1942. Following graduation, she worked for the nearby Eagle Silk Mill. Sophia dedicated her life to her family and loved being a mother and wife. She was a devoted partner to her husband of 58 years, John J. Yasalonis, and showered her children with love, support and the teachings of her faith. She used her gift of hospitality by opening her home to family and friends alike for every family celebration. She helped those in need, comforted those who mourned, prayed fervently for others, served friends and strangers alike and loved all. Sophia enjoyed cooking, baking and gardening. Being a college football fan, she often spoke of and provided statistics for her beloved Penn State football team. One of Sophia's greatest pleasures was sending and receiving thousands of greeting cards over the years to all of her relatives and friends. She always included a custom drawn picture of flowers and hearts to brighten their day. She is survived by four sons, John W. Yasalonis and his wife, Josephine, of Bel Air, Maryland, Steven J. Yasalonis and wife, Kathy, of Enola. Michael J. Yasalonis and wife, Susan, of Camp Hill, and Alan Yasalonis and his wife Nancy, of Yardley; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and many wonderful nieces and nephews. A long-time matriarch, she is preceded in death by her parents and all 13 of her siblings; and by her husband, John."
