[5952] Henry and Elizabeth are from FHC database, 12/91, per Prodigy correspondent. See NEHGS "Register," Vol 111, July, 1957, pg. 168, "Early Cogans English and American" which states they are POSSIBLY parents of Henry the immigrant! The family (surname also Cogan) appears to descend from a baronial family which took its name from a fief in Gloucestershire. For the village of Chedzoy see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chedzoy. Ancestry.com offers: "Coggin Name Meaning - Irish: Anglicized form of Gaelic Mac Cogadháin (see Coogan)."
