https://www.24-7pressrelease.com/press-release/228225/orville-ward-swarner-md-recognized-for-dedication-to-pediatrics offers: "CHUCKEY, TN, August 8, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ --Dr. Orville Swarner, Pediatrician at Kinder Klinic, has been named a Cambridge Who's Who Professional of the Year in Pediatric Health Care. While inclusion in the Cambridge Who's Who Registry is an honor, only a small selection of members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Cambridge Who's Who membership.
With five decades of pediatric experience, Dr. Swarner has helped heal generations of children. He currently practices at Kinder Klinic, where he treats a variety of pediatric problems and oversees a staff of excellent nurses and pediatric nurse practitioners. His success can be attributed to having the right motivation, an altruistic attitude, and a love for children and newborns. Dr. Swarner specializes in neonatology and crisis care. He is very passionate about the positive effect that he hopes to have on his patients.
Dr. Swarner pursued a career in pediatrics through the inspiration of his own pediatrician, who made a lasting impression on him. In 1965, he earned an MD from Loma Linda University and went on to work for a number of large medical groups, universities and multi-person practices. He then established his clinic in a rural setting to be closer to his home. Dr. Swarner also serves as an associate clinical professor at East Tennessee State University, as well as a regional representative of the Tennessee Medical Association.
Aside from work, Dr. Swarner actively volunteers with the Boy Scouts of America. As a counselor for the organization, he advocates and leads youth activities and learning. He was recently honored with an Eagle Mentor Award from a child who is also one of Dr. Swarner's longtime patients. The award, which came to him as a surprise, was received at a private ceremony sponsored by the Boy Scouts of America.
