He was born in Eastbrook Dec. 4, 1912. the son of Sylvester and Mary (French) Bunker. He was a member of the Eastbrook Fire Department, served several terms as school board director and was a member of Greenwood Grange. He was active in community service. He is survived by his wife, May (Colby) Bunker, of Eastbrook; two sons, Scott ond his wife Charleen of Orrington, and Frederick and his wife, Noni of Hancock; two daughters, Mrs. Norman (Judith) Veillette ond Mrs. Larry (Nancy) Hardison. both of Eastbrook; 12 grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren; one sister, Elizabeth Goodwin of Hulls Cove; several nieces nephews and cousins. Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, July 16 1987 at Sunnyside Cemetery, Eastbrook."

Mrs. Eaton was born at Little Deer Isle, Aug. 17, 1909, the daughter of Michael and Minnie (Eaton) Eaton. She had been a member of the Reorganized Church of Latter Day Saints of North Deer Isle. Surviors are her husband of Little Deer Isle; six sons, Fuller, Edgar, Burlin, Lewis, and Marvin, all of Deer Isle, and Wendall of Shelburne Falls, Mass.; two sisters, Mrs. Helen Snowman of Stonington and Mrs. Lillian Sewell of Little Deer Ilse; and two half-sisters, and Mrs. Evelyn Weed and Mrs. Gladys Eaton, both of Connecticut; 13 grandchldren." Geneva and Cecil had Russell Fuller Eaton (1926-2014), Edgar Cecil Eaton (1927-2018), Burlyn Ellis Eaton (1930-2017), Wendell Everett Eaton (1932-2009) & Lewis Edwin Eaton (1939-2004).

[14410] http://genforum.genealogy.com/whitcomb/messages/818.html offers: "Robert Whitcomb may have lived awhile in Grenwich, Mass, then in Sharon, Conn then in Sunderland Mass moving thence to Richmond, Vt. He was married to Eunice Sheldon in1763. She was born in Mass and died in Bolton, Vt June 245, 1828. He enlisted for the Revolutionary War, Feb 2, 1776, Capt Stoddard's Company, Col Burrall's Regiment. He was sergeant in the company of Capt Matthew Smith of Gen. David Waterbury's Regiment in 1781. In March, 1781, Brig Gen Waterbury, Jr. was appointed commander of the battalion ordered to be raised for the defense of the post at Horseneck and places adjacent, and also all the guards raised for the defense of the sea coasts from Horseneck to New Haven inclusive. The force was composed of drafts of militia and amounted to a brigade of two battalions. In July it joined Washington while he was encamped at Phillipsburg and for some time after was under Heath's orders on the Westchester line. Sargeant Whitcomb joined the company at its formation, March 31, 1781. His residence is given as Sharon, Conn in the role. He died in Bolton, VT April 26, 1817."
