[1526] She and Louis IX also had these children who survived adolescence: Jean Tristan (Count of Nevers), Pierre (Count of Alencon), Isabella (m. Thibaud V, Count of Champagne and King of Navarre), Blanche (m. Ferdinand de la Cerda of Castile) and Marguerite (m. Jean, Duke of Brittany). http://www.guide2womenleaders.com offers: "The wife of King Louis of France (d. 1270) since 1234 she challenged her father's appointment of her youngest sister as heir to the country. She sought to employ force of arms, calling upon her son, her nephew Edward II. of England, and the German king Rudolph of Habsburg. She did not give up her claim until after the death of Charles of Anjou in 1285, when Philip the Bold succeeded in getting her to accept an income from the county of Anjou in exchange for her rights in Provence. She accompanied her on crusades and spent her last years in a monastery." Cf. http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marguerite_de_Provence.

[57440] "The Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine]," 31 July 2022: "Ellsworth - Donald "Donnie" Haslam, 90, passed away July 27, 2022, at an Ellsworth Hospital. He was born April 14, 1932, in Waltham, ME, the son of Harold and Mildred (Bartlett) Haslam. Donnie graduated Lee Academy. He met and married the love of his life, Marilyn M. Murch, in 1956, and in 1961 opened High Street Sunoco in Ellsworth. For the next 25 years, Donnie hired most of his nieces, nephews, son, daughter, and many others, teaching us how to be a good employee, the meaning of hard work, and to serve the customer. His wreckers were seen all over Hancock and Washington County 24-7; seeing a truck with 'Here Comes Donnie' on the hood, was a welcome site for distressed motorists, law enforcement, and truckers. A second career as a truck driver for Eastern Maine Recycling, saw him log more than 1.7 million accident-free miles within Maine over 31 years. Donnie never stopped working for his family and others, he would say, it's important knowing every day, someone is expecting me to show up. He was a 63-year member of Lygonia Lodge No.40 of Ellsworth and a Noble of the Anah Shrine. He loved driving his Miata Convertible, Caribbean cruises with Marilyn, sunsets in Trenton, and playing golf with Gary, and Donnie's close friend, Bill Bromley. He was immensely proud of his daughter's service in law enforcement, and his son's career in healthcare, and later his work at JAX, where he and his son would occasionally catch up on the day's work, while he was busy loading the roll-off. Donnie is survived by his daughter, Sharon E. Worcester of Ellsworth; son, Gary W. Haslam and wife, Wendy R., of Verona Island; grandchildren, Jennifer L Williams and husband, Charles 'CJ,' of Fairfield, and Ross H. Worcester and wife, Beth M., of Trenton; brother, Dwight Haslam and wife, Estelle, of Portland; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Marilyn; companion, Bobbie Sutherland of Sorrento; brothers, Wayne, and Thurston; and twin sister, Donna Barrows."
[46463] Edith is daughter of Llewellyn Truesdale Hatfield (1849-1919) and Alice Chloe Winters (1856-1928).

Johann Michael Meiser m. Anna Elizabeth Sixt (possibly surnamed Zecht). They settled in Muhlbach (Millcreek Twp.), in today's Lebanon Co., PA. Dolores Whitaker reports Elizabeth was b. in 1693. "Families of Pennsylvania from 1645 to Present" at http://www.angelfire.com/folk/barnham/pafg42.html identifies him as Johann Michael Meiser and provides his ancestry. Dictionary of American Family Names ©2013, Oxford University Press offers: "Meiser Name Meaning - occupational name for a fowler, from an agent derivative of Meise 1. topographic name for someone who lived in an area where timber had been felled (see Meiss). habitational name for someone from a place called Mais in Bavaria."
http://www.anthracitemaps.com/wsite.nsf/html/lebhistmillcreek offers: "Mill Creek is the extreme south-eastern township of Lebanon county, and until the year 1844, was included in Jackson and Heidelberg, except about 500 acres which were added to it from Berks co. The Muelbach or Mill Creek, a beautiful stream of considerable size, which flows through from west to east, gave to the township its name. On this stream as early as 1720, the German Baptists, more generally called "Dunkards" had a settlement. Besides the Mill Creek there are several other streams of smaller size. The South Mountain or Conewago Hills are in the southern part of the township. . . . The principal settlers of this township were Hessians, Irish and Germans. The Hessians came from the Reading camp in Berks county, and settled principally among the mountains. The first German settlers came from Schoharie county, New York. Among the early settlers of note, may be mentioned Conrad Weiser, who came here from Philadelphia, accompanied by Wm. Penn, about the year 1719. After making a treaty with the Indians, Weiser started a settlement at Millbach. He afterwards settled near the present town of Womelsdorf, in Berks county, where he was buried. A plain stone slab marks his grave. Walter Newman and his wife Elizabeth came to this township from Ireland, sometime between the years 1741 and 1763, having previously, (about the year 1741,) received a grant of two tracts of land from Wm. Penn. This township was then included in or called Heidelberg township, in Lancaster county. Lice (christian name not given,) settled at Tulpehocken, and worked for Frederick Miller for 9 cents per day. Land at that time sold for one dollar per acre. John Stump, Michael Meiser, John Noll, Michael Zeller, John Moore, Henry Moyer. Nicolas Lechner, John Grove, Christian Seibert, and others came from Schoharie county, N.Y., and settled at Millbach.
Later, Frederick Kopp and several others settled at Newmanstown. In 1704, it is' said that Michael Meiser took up the land now owned and occupied by Geo. Meiser. He, with twelve other families on a journey, encamped at this place over night, and finding a fine spring of pure water, he concluded to settle here, which he did, constructing for himself a hut of bark, in which he resided three years. Among the families that settled here at that time, were the Zellers, Fakes, Stumps, and Beckers. The Moores are said to have settled here two years later. Michael Meiser died at the age of 42 years, leaving his property to his eldest son George and it descended from one generation to another, until now it is owned by one of the fifth generation, Geo. Meiser, who is nearly 7 5 years of age. A strange coincidence connected with this property, is that it has been owned during 4 generations by the eldest sons, and that each ones name was George. The present owner has also a son and grand-son named George. So it is probable that the farm may yet be owned by George the sixth."
