[12579] Evelyn's obituary: "Evelyn Connell, 80, of Mansfield, passed away Sunday, March 5, 2017 at her residence after a brief illness. Evelyn was born on March 9, 1936 in Shiloh, Ohio to the late Harvey C. Heichel and Isabelle M. (Davis) Varner. Evelyn was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was always willing to help others and never came in contact with a stranger. Evelyn was a member of First Wesleyan Church. She was formerly employed at H & H Machinery. In her spare time, she enjoyed embroidery, crossword puzzles, bingo and sitting on her swing watching the wildlife. Evelyn is survived by her husband, Joseph L. Connell to whom she was married twenty one years; two sons, Edward (Wendy) Shambaugh of Mansfield, David (Anne) Shambaugh of Crestline; one daughter, Eva E. (Mike Shrader) Shambaugh of Mansfield; two step-children, Craig (Sue) Connell and Cheryl (Roger) Lewis, both of Mansfield; four grandchildren, Kristen and Katie Shambaugh of Mansfield, Danny Shambaugh of Crestline and Scott Shrader of Mansfield; two sisters, Eva Mae Lawson and Joan (Dan) Burgess; and two special nieces who were her caregivers, Mary and Beth Shambaugh. She is preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Edward Shambaugh Sr.; three brothers, Harvey C. Heichel Jr., Richard E. "Dick" Heichel, Paul D. Shade; two sisters, Eileen Heichel and Janice Shambaugh; a grandson, David M. "D.J." Shambaugh Jr."
