He retired as a truck driver from Edgecomb Steel in NH. He also worked for many years as a woodsman, a job he truly loved. He was a member of the Jonesboro Union Church, and the V.F.W. He was an avid hunter, and also enjoyed fishing, and gardening. He is survived by his wife, Mary (Flaherty) Clark; children, Sam Clark and partner, Sue, Corinne Tometich and husband, Brad, and Martha Redington; grandchildren, Annaliese Goodwin, Johnathan Clark, Michael Clark, Nathan Redington, and Ashley Redington; stepchildren, Alan, Duane, and Shawn Geel, and Cathleen Curtis; 5 step-grandchildren; and 6 step-great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his first wife, Cora; a grandson, Ian; and a stepson, Kevin."

He fought in the Scottish Wars of King Edward I and Edward II between 1300 and 1319. He was invested as a Knight on 26 August 1300. He fought in the campaign against the Scots in 1311. He was created '1st Lord Neville, of Essex [England]" on 19 December 1311. In May 1313 he was going in the King's service beyond seas. He fought in the Battle of Bannockburn on 24 June 1314. He fought in the campaign against the Scots in 1319, under King Edward II. He was a joint commissioner and inspector of arrays in counties Essex, Hertforshire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Sussex between 1324 and 1326."

She graduated from Jonesport High School and attended college at the eye and ear infirmary of the Maine School of Nursing. She worked for Merrill Trust Co., Jonesport Maternity Home, Miller Funeral Home and Met Life. She used her education and work experience to become an entrepreneur, owning a store in the 1950s and eventually starting the first bed and breakfast in Jonesport. She was very patriotic and active in her community. She was founder of the 'Tuesday Night Club' and was on the library committee. In her free time she loved to play the piano, sing and write. She is survived by her sons, Gary Beal and wife Kathy, Peter Beal and partner Rosalie Barrett, Tommy Beal and wife Karen, and John Beal; daughters, Muriel 'Chickie' Compton and husband Joshua, Nancy Hooper and husband Stanley, Glenda Davis, Jill Harrington and partner Sean Flynn; brother, Millard "Buzz" Dobbins and wife Donna; sister-in-law, Janice Mitchell; grandchildren, Lynn, Stephanie, Michelle, Melissa, Kristina, Jaime, Jennifer and Guy; ten great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, Alan R. Beal; her infant son, her parents, her parents-in-law, Arnold and Phyllis Beal; and two great-grandsons."
