[9654] Harry is son of Winfield Scott, Sr. and Fanny Jane Petersen. Find A Grave memorial 83834945 offers his obituary: "Harry Isaac Scott, 58, passed away at his home northeast of Avoca early Tuesday morning of heart attack. Funeral services will be conducted from the Chrisinger Funeral Home Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. Gerlt, officiating. Burial will be in Graceland cemetery, Avoca. Harry Scott was born January 28, 1882, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Winfield Scott, on a farm several miles south of Avoca. He spent his entire life in Avoca community and followed the occupation of farming for twenty-seven years. Mr. Scott was married to Miss Emma Mae Loy on June 13, 1908, and to this union were born six children, five daughters and one son, who are: Ina, Mrs. Curtis Harris; Viola and Esther who are at home; Vera, Mrs. Ivan Woltmann, of Harlan; Margaret, Mrs. Leroy Plagmann, of near Avoca, and Howard who is at home, who all survive to mourn his passing. Besides his widow and children he is survived by two brothers, Grover of Canada and Winfield of Onawa, Iowa, and two sisters, Mrs. Walter Johnson of Avoca and Mrs. Fred Russmann of Defiance, Iowa. Harry Scott was a man who enjoyed the friendship of his neighbors. He never failed to go to the assistance of a friend in sickness or want. No father was more kind to his children than Harry Scott. He will be missed in the community in which he lived for so many years."
