Davis, age 65, a resident of 661 Pennsylvania Ave., died Monday afternoon at Mansfield General Hospital following a two week illness. Born Aug. 14, 1902, in Vinton County, Ohio, he had lived here most of his life. He retired in 1965 from the maintenance department at the Westinghouse Electric Corp. Surviving are his wife, Ruth M. Sams Davis; four sons, Earl K. Davis of Bellville, Olen Davis of Bloomington, Calif.; and Zane and Robert Davis, both of Mansfield; three daughters, Mrs Earl Frederick of San Berdardino, Calif.; and Mrs. June Murphy and Miss Ruth O. Davis, both of Mansfield; 20 grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Clara Freeman of Warren, O. The body was removed to the Wappner Funeral Home where services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday conducted by the Rev. Don Bock, pastor of the Lincoln Heights Church of Christ in Christian Union.
