[48878] Mary's obituary: "Greenbush - Mary Dunn Weatherbee passed away Jan. 2, 2009, at her home. She was the best friend, loving wife and life's companion to Albert "Buddy" Weatherbee for 64 years. She was predeceased by her parents, Beulah Brown Dunn and Olin F. Dunn. She is survived by her husband; and two loving daughters and their husbands, Sharon Czarnecki and husband, Andrew, of Weare, N.H., and Valerie Bartholomew and her husband, Mark, of Enfield, Conn. Her daughters' marriages provided six wonderful grandchildren, who in turn blessed her with 12 great-grandchildren, all of whom were dearly loved. Mary was born and raised in South Lincoln; attended the one-room school there, and then on to Mattanawcook Academy, where she and Al fell in love. After Al's time in the service and college, they moved to Connecticut where they spent 40 years before returning home to Maine to retire. She spent endless hours of volunteer work with youth groups in Connecticut; St. Mary's of Windsor Locks, Junior Achievement, Golden Lancers, Host Family for Runaway Girls, etc., and was active in town projects in Greenbush. Mary was co-owner and office manager of Weatherbee Insurance Agency for a few years. Her family is grateful for the care provided by the staff of St. Joseph Hospice during her last days and for the three very special 'angels' that were with us to give of their love and compassion during the long battle with Alzheimer's disease. It is their care that made it possible for her husband to keep his promise, that she remain at home and he would always be there with her until the end, and God willing, even after death. Visiting hours will be noon-2 p.m. Sunday at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln."
[34733] Mary's marriage by Lutheran Pastor Charles Erlenmeyer to Perry Meiser is listed on p. 202 of "Snyder County Marriages, 1835-1899". Is she the Mary Ebright, age 3, listed in the 9 Dec 1850 federal census in Chapman Twp., Union Co., PA in the family of Solomon Ebright, age 29, farmer, and wife Fanny?

[39386] Find A Grave Memorial 32476584 has much information about James, including: "James Rogers embarked from England on the ship "Increase" on April 15,1635, arriving several months later in Boston. In 1637, he participated in the "Pequot War" under Capt. John Underhill. He married Elizabeth Rowland about 1639. Their marriage was blessed with seven children: Samuel, Joseph, John, Bathsheba Smith Fox, James, Jonathan, & Elizabeth Beebe. For many years prior to his retirement in 1666, he carried on by far the most extensive foreign and domestic trade of any man in New London. In 1660, he was made a 'Freeman'in New London. After 1676, he was repeatedly subjected to fines and imprisonment for non-conformity to the rules of the established church. John Rogers and some of his followers, especially his sister Bathsheba, expressed themselves repeatedly by disrupting the meetings of the New London Congregational church, and as a result were often fined and jailed. This sect has become known as the Rogerene Quakers."
