[61261] "The Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine]," 1 May 2022: "Steuben, Maine - Vernon C. Norton, 93, passed away at a Blue Hill Hospital, April 27, 2022. Vernon was born October 9, 1928, the son of Carroll and Grace (Farnsworth) Norton. Vernon was drafted into the United States Army, where he served during the Korean war. He spent his life and raised his family in Steuben, where he worked as the Postmaster for twenty-two years. Following his retirement from the United States Postal Service, Vernon spent several years lobster fishing, which he enjoyed. Vernon was predeceased by his wife, Nancy, January 13, 2012; and a grandson, Joshua Norton, December 13, 1988. He is survived by his children, Gregory and wife, Margaret Norton, Brian Norton and partner, Susan Fitzpatrick, Randy Norton and partner, Bettye Colby, and Bonnie Wilbur and partner, Jason Farnsworth. Grandchildren include, Chelsey Phillips and husband, Dan, Tyler Norton and wife, Emily, Randy Norton Jr., Brittany Norton, Haley Murphy and husband, Tom, Ryan Norton and wife, Kate, and Kimberly Wilbur; also surviving Vernon are many great-grandchildren."

She had at least 1 son and 3 daughters with Ray Owen Foster. She immigrated to Houlton, Aroostook, Maine, United States in 1934 and lived in Monticello, Aroostook, Maine, United States in 1950.
