[51892] "The Ellsworth American [Ellsworth, Maine], 27 December 2017": "Ellsworth - Ruth Ellen Parker, 88, resident of Edgewood Way in Ellsworth, died Sunday, Dec. 24, 2017, at her daughters home in Newport surrounded by family. She was born April 29, 1929, in Bar Harbor, a daughter of Andrew Harmon and Hulda Mae (Hodgkins) Herrick. Ruth attended schools and graduated from Ellsworth schools. She attended the University of Maine at Machias for three years and received her bachelors degree in elementary education from the University of Maine at Farmington. She taught school in various locations along with her husband, Donald E. Parker, who was a school principal, until she retired to raise her family. Ruth was a member of the United Baptist Church of Ellsworth for many years and was also a member of the Irene Chapter No. 97 Order of Eastern Star for over 50 years. She had served for many years as a 4-H leader and enjoyed her time with that organization. She enjoyed camping, gardening, knitting, doing crafts, cooking, assembling jigsaw puzzles and had served as a swimming instructor for many years. She enjoyed frequent trips to Acadia National Park and enjoyed spending time with her family at her camp in Eastbrook on Molasses Pond. Ruth was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Donald E. Parker, who died in 2004, as well as two sons, Baby Parker and David A. Parker. Survivors include her two daughters, Linda E. Doiron of Wilton and Rebecca D. and her husband, J. Paul Hoffman IV, of Newport, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren."

[45000] James obituary from the Bangor Daily News 10 May 2010: "James Russell Wardwell, 59, died quietly on Mothers Day, May 9, 2010, at a Bangor hospital. He was born May 23, 1950, the son of William 'Bill' and Ruth (Colby) Wardwell. He graduated from Bucksport High School in 1968. He was a sergeant with the 26 Security Police Squadron, U.S. Air Force, at Ramstein Air Force Base, Germany, with temporary duty in Greece, Turkey and England. He attended University of Maine at Farmington for a year and then graduated from Eastern Maine Vocational Technical Institute in 1976. He worked for the city of Bangor for many years and at the time of his death, worked for security at Verso Paper, Bucksport. He is survived by his mother; his loving wife, Julia (LaPoint) Wardwell; three brothers, Dana, Timothy and Frank; one sister, Ellen McElvain; many nieces and nephews who will miss him. He is also survived by stepchildren, Ericka, Brandee and Ben; and one stepgrandchild, Patrick, who he was helping to raise. He was predeceased by his father; and one sister, Joyce Andrews. Julia and Jim shared a love that will never end. Forever plus three."
